Bottle from local Yamaya. Malty aroma, yeasty, light plum notes. Dark copper-brown, 1cm beige head. Tangy initial, mid palate sweetens, final is malty with a little bitterness and some yogurt. Thin-medium body. Tasty enough, but the heavy yeast gets in the way.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Red copper color. Huge size, fluffy beige head, stays. Sweet, malty, faint raisins in aroma. Malty, sweet, berries, sugary, caramel in taste. Caramel malts in aftertaste. Feels bit messy and watery. Maybe bit too raw?

330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Opened and poured with a lovely sweet fruity aroma. In the glass it’s more bready. Hazy to cloudy brown, depending on the pour. Later aroma dirtier, sweet mashy grains. Taste is also a bit messy and mashy. Sweet. Smooth palate, pleasant carbonation. Tastes like a lager gone wrong - or even a sweet eastern european lager that’s 2 years past its BB date (which I know from experience, it’s not as bad as it sounds).

Hazy red amber pour, medium white head with thin retention. Nose is malty, nice toasty notes, fruity sweet notes. Flavor is toasty malt and fruity sweetness that borders on caramel. Some muted hops in the finish, lingering toastiness and mild bitterness. Pretty decent.

Belle mouse, couleur orangé, de petites bulles bien présentes, un goût de céréales tout en rondeur. Bout 330ml Le Taste-Vin

Bottle at Aeon mall Kyoto. Served in a snifter. It pours a dark reddish brown with an ok beige head. Very much an amber looking ale. The nose is malty caramel, nice & appetizing. The beer is medium to full bodied with a nice smooth creamy mouthfeel. A solid biscuity amber ale with nice brown ale character.

Bottle on the Shinkansen. Mediciney nose, but the mouthfeel was decent. Fairly light, but somewhat soft and creamy. Roasted flavours of malt, biscuits, berries and caramel all apparent. Pretty damn sweet. Not unpleasant company on the train.

On draught at the brewpub, served way to cold and improved after a big hug. At coolish room temperature it was an OK Alt, if a bit spineless. Claims to be all-malt and I can believe it. Needs more hopping.
