Draught at the brewpub. Clearpale golden, small head. Lightly fruity/grassy up front. Sweetish wth rounded edges . Mostly neutral, just lightly fruity and salty. Low-medium bitterness. Inoffensive and drinkable.

330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Pleasant sweet fruity esters in the aroma. Pale, large frothy head. Slightly dry papery lagery taste, but not a pale lager per se. A bit watery palate. Slight breadiness. A bit papery in the finish. Another lager-gone-wrong experience.

My Bottom Line:
A faultless Kölsch with a creamy mouthfeel, timid cereal flavors and crispy herbal hop bitterness will undoubtedly make a quenching pint, but this one recalls macro professionalism (and economy) from sip to sip.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the deep blond.
-Light fruitiness recalls honeyed apples.
-Carbonation is lively and lifts the subtle flavor profile.

On tap at the brewery restaurant.

On tap at the brewpub. Fruity, with rather rich malt and a decent hop bitterness. Finish is dry, body and flavor rather light. Easy-drinking and enjoyable but not really exciting.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, kyoto. Production date 15.07.11
Aroma has slightly sweet, a bit cornish malt. Flavour is also malty, grainy and sweet, but slightly stale and harsh. Has also some sake elements like footsweat and rice. Drinkable.

330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Clear pale amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Sweet, malty, sourish in aroma. Malty, sweet, sourish, bit yeasty in taste. Perfectly normal lager.

399 yen from Suvaco. 5% nice clear gold color, thin effervescent white head. Classic kolsch look. Sweet bready malt aroma, minor grain notes and a hint of hops. Nice full bodied mouthfeel, a bit earthy flavor, slightly rough but a crisp light bitter finish. A pretty good kolsch which is perfect for this summer heat. Give it a shot this summer folks.

Bottle from local Yamaya. Mild fruit aroma, apples, pears, and some sugar. Hazy golden straw color, thin head. Very light fruitiness with some yeast notes, a bit of sour lemon, and a mildly bitter finish. Thin-medium body. Okay. I’m not very familiar with the style, so I can’t judge its fidelity to that. Certainly drinkable, but not really so interesting.

Clear golden color with a mid size white head. Aroma is strong of sweet grains and some light herbs. Very sweet flavor. Grainy, light hops, and some earth herbs. Pretty thin. Finish reminds me of corn flakes. Not bad, but not worth a second go.
