A slightly hazy straw colored beer with a small white head. Very doughy scent, sweet malts and bread yeast, light spice. A bit of tangyness in the front with a sweet malt middle and a crisp light lingering bitterness. Quite tasty indeed!

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 worldbeertaste (629) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2011
Pale yellow and thin head. Light smell of lemon. Taste: Butter with some wheat and coriander light sweetness and some fruity feel. Aftertaste is thin with some banana feel. A little thin and plane overall but drinkable without any negative things to say.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 OneBrewru (11) - JAPAN - MAR 2, 2011
Aroma: At first whiff I immediately noted the aroma of sun-dried hay and the barnyard aroma characteristic of saisons. After spending a little more time with this brew, I also picked up the scent of lemon rind, resinous pine, and slight phenols. A few buttery notes snuck in as well.
Appearance: This beer has an incredibly delicate and pale color and yet is topped with a persistent and foamy head. It almost has the appearance of a lager with the head of a hef. Lacing sticks to the glass here and there.
Taste: Light buttery malts followed by faint earthy pine hops. A slight hef-funk finish rounds this beer out nicely.
Mouthfeel: Slightly more carbonation than normal for a saison, but that’s not necessarily a disservice. It makes it seem more refreshing. Also, the taste really sticks with you.
Overall: All around I think this is a pretty solid beer. It’s definitely very light for a saison and could use a little more yeasty funk to more appropriately represent the style, but on the other hand it’s a unique take on a saison that’s well done.

On draught at the brewpub. A thinnish, dryish, unspiced wheat beer the ingredients for which were researched by Egyptologists but sourced from Asahi, who oversee the place.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 KyotoLefty (3765) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 6, 2009
Tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow color. Dry wheat flavor. Rather fruity and inoffensive, but the wheat character is not outstanding. Easy drinking yet not really interesting.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Capa (1641) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 11, 2009
Very pale straw with a rocky, white head. Grass, light floral, malt, and what I assume is rice. Sweet malts, light citrus, floral, with some spices trying to prove themselves, but not strong enough to do much of anything. Boring but refreshing. Very much in the Kizakura flavor profile.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TheJollyOne (222) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 12, 2009
Very pale yellow body, average white head. Nose of hoppy flowers with some sweetness. Taste was hop grasses and flowers, a hint of sugar. Light and fizzy palate. Nothing special.
