3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice cherry flavour but not overpowering - did not notice any chocolate but could have been suffering from palate fatigue. Nice porter brewed out of Harringtons.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The head is ok, the body black. It smells sweet, malty. The taste is malty, sweet, a bit chocolate and cherry but quite mild, creamy, balanced. Drinkable.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nice dark appearance. Minimum head that disappears quickly. Not to much in the way of aroma, faint cherry roast. Taste was not at all what I was expecting. Tart and sour almost vinegary. Slight cherry flavour but really the sour taste dominates cutting through any roast chocolate that might have been pleasant. Just not for me this one.

goooood. love my porters with an extra flavour. there isnít really much to it beyond what it says on the front - chocolate and cherries. perhaps a little on the sweet side but porters are always nice with a little sugary touch. rating from memory unfortunately as itís a seasonal, but when it comes back iíll be sure to have another.

Cocoa and oak aroma. Darkish brown to black. Sweet cheery, but almost like a candy; not great.

Bottle with thanks to my sister. Pours a deep bronze brown with the smallest tan coloured head. Dissapears super quickly. Getting bugger all from the aroma to be honest. Perhaps a touch of roasted grain and a little acidity. Flavours are quite sour and oxidised. Very thin mouthfeel and lively carbonation makes it quite prickly and really emphaises the acidity. A bit rough but could easily drink a couple. Would be curious to see how it ages though I suspect the oxidation would take over.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Yes and no. Yes this is a bit of alright, and no I canít believe itís not actually a fruit flavoured beer. As it sits in the glass it gets more substance. Itís a bit thin, and the taste is a bit short, but this is a beer that Iíd like to buy for friends, and know theyíd not be upset.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I had been waiting for this Christchurch product so much, and I was NOT disappointed. Lovely porter! Absolutely fulfils the promises. Great black colour with an off-white head. Lovely berry nose, with a touch of chocolate and roasted malts. Flavour is all well-wrapped up, roundly compacted, with chocolates, roasted malts and the cherry, yes. Medium bodied, a little thinner than I would like to have it, but gorgeous beer. I care little if the palate is not that long-lasting - I will buy more of it!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Subtle chocolate malts on the nose, and pours very dark, though not viscous. Flavours are predominately in the front palate and quite soft. Unfortunately these flavours dissipate quickly.
