Pours reddish amber with a nice beige head and a bready aroma. There is a medium-bodied smoked malt flavor with some vanilla and a tangy finish.

Dark coppery color with a tan head. Balanced with a malty base that is not very sweet leading to an earthy flavor and hoppy finish.

Bomber from Harry & David in Medford, OR. Pours dark ruddy copper with a 3 finger foamy beige head. Aroma is sort of roast malt with some citrus. Med body with foamy carb. Flavor is malt forward with a good deal of roastiness. There seems to be citrus. It’s a bit nobly spicy. Overall it’s a fairly smooth amber with lots of fruit and roast malt. Finishes dryish and bitter. Drinks very well for an amber.

650ml bomber pours amber in color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light toasted malts with hints of chocolate and fruit. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with hints of chocolate and spice and a decent hop bitterness. Medium body and adequate carbonation. Good quality brew and easy to drink. Quite enjoyable.

This is a good well rounded red. It does fit between the Amber and Brown continuum, more toward Amber. Good maltiness, mellow, with slight bitter end

Bottle:   Deep amber, burnt orange hues, almost coppery, moderate to large foamy sand colored head, fairly decent lacing.   Oddly enough, pale chocolate malt nose.   A little barnish and musty hay like.   Pale chocolatey malts up front, some hop bitterness, not real malty.   Feels like a Pale Ale with a bit of Chocolate malt or something in it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Yeah, more of a Pale Ale with some chocolate type malt in there.   Not bad, pleasant, a little different from what I expected.   Decent.

Clear red with a taupe head. The flavor is only slightly malty - i expected a lot more for this style. From the sampler at KBB, and it was nice to move on to the next one.

I enjoyed everything but the after taste. I suppose after a few though, I could get used to it.

On tap @ Bailey’s Taphouse, Portland. Deep amber/brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of citrus, nuts, caramel and pine. Flavor is toasty malt and caramel with a firm hop bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. Good beer almost a cross between a amber, brown and IPA.
