Commercial Description:
Ducks and geese of the great Pacific Flyway migrate north in the fall, funneling through Klamath Falls, Oregon. We brewed this tasty fall ale as a tribute to their great journey. This beer will make the perfect pit stop treat along your journey into autumn. It is full of fall color, with aromas of citrus and spice reminiscent of harvest season. Not only does it deliver full complex flavors, it also produces a deep warming effect (a combination of seeds of paradise and alcohol) to help ease the onset of autumn chill.

22. Thanks, Scrizz! Pours hazy orange-amber. Sweet nut and honey aroma and taste. Very nice, but unfortunately this beer suffers a bit by comparison with the Powerhouse Barleywine I tried at the same time.

22. Thanks, Scrizzzz! Murky bright orange with swirling gray head atop. Big bready caramel brown bread nose. Creamy medium body. Woody, resiny, balsa-like mid-palate. Long resiny woody finish.

Clear honeyed amber, thin head. Hot aroma, like cinnamon, still seems young and chaotic. Thin bodied, good orange liquor presence, though it washes itself away quickly into a gummy sticky finish.

Tap @ Belmont Station. Poured amber with a white head. Aroma consisted of hops and was also sweet like butterscotch. Really dry but coated the mouth and tongue nicely. Very floral and sweet, leafy hops that were balanced and not too bitter with other caramel like flavors. Amazingly subtle and not over-bearing for the high ABV.

A weaker barley wine, but also the taste of barley and citrus to shine. A great beer, a great intro.

On tap at Baily’s Tavern. Pours amber/red with a smooth off-white head. Citrus hops in the nose, excess alcohol. Fruity caramel flavor with a lot of hops and excess alcohol, a bit to hot tasting for me.

On tap at Klamath Basin Brewing in K-Falls, Oregon--Deep amber-copper bodied. Thin circular off-white head. Boozy, malty, hoppy nose. Everything here is well-balanced. Stinging booze and hops bitterness in finish. Delicious. However one of the bottles I sampled was very undercarbonated.
