Clear golden color with a tight white head. Has a kind of grassy aroma, smells a little metallic also. Typical pilsener taste with a little extra hops thrown in. Not bad but nothing to write home about.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 spikester (602) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JAN 25, 2009
Clear gold with a two finger white head. Plenty of lacings. Aroma is malty. Taste is sweet malts with a balanced amount of hops. Mouthfeel is good with adequete carbonation and a nice dry finish. A sessionable beer in spite of the 5.8% abv. Give it a try, I definitely enjoyed this beer.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BillKismet (2762) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 29, 2008
Tan-bronze with decent head. Aroma of candy corn and caramel malt and grains. Flavor is similar to the aroma, but a bit more reserved. Slight caramel and candy corn notes, mild graininess. Not bad
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - AUG 11, 2008
15-Jul-08 (500-ml bottle: Purchased 03-Apr-08 for $2.25 from liquidsolutions.biz) Lighter in style than expected for a "winter lager", this malty beer is bready and mildly toasty with an odd buttery character that is rarely found in lagers. A very gentle Noble hop flavor and bitterness is nicely balanced against the malt base. Light-medium in body with gentle carbonation and a smooth, easy mouthfeel. Bready, grainy and very lightly toasty nose with no hop aroma. Clear and golden in color with a small, whitish head that holds a thin layer throughout most of the session. Not as "wintery" as I want from a winter beer, and the butteriness is out of place, but it’s tasty enough to finish the bottle. Not a repeat purchase though...
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3388) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2008
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large white soapy head. The aroma was sweetish, tangy and lightly malty. The flavor was tangy and bitter with a hint of butterscotch and a dry tangy finish.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beerdedone (2214) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 3, 2008

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 unclemattie (3355) - Georgia, USA - MAR 12, 2008
500ml bottle. Clear, Light orange, golden color. White foamy head. Aroma of fresh sweet wort and a hint of mustiness. Really the aroma resembles a Märzen. Flavor is an interesting malt and big bitterness. Lots of sweetness and a bold hop. This is made for American tastes. Not exactly to my liking but it is very bitter. For a European Lager, it lakes balance. Lingering bitterness,Medium bodied. Maybe different yeast profile and this would male a very good Pale Ale!
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 LinusStick (2444) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2008
Ugh...terrible beer. Aroma was all metal. Pour was a thick nasty pee yellow with no head. Taste was very flat and metallic. Strong hints of copper and sweet malt in the front with a hint of hops in the aftertaste. To metallic tasting and hardly any carbonation. Blah.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ingy (100) - candler, North Carolina, USA - FEB 2, 2008
bottle. Decent head, full lager taste. Good balance of malts and hops. Better than the "dark beer". Not what I expected for a winter brew, but good.

Pours a two finger pure white head that fades slowly to thin layer leaving a good lace lace. Crystal clear pale amber color. Very light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Hoppy nose. Flavor sweetens as it warms, honey? hops are noticeable, lingering bitter aftertaste. $2.15 for a 500ml bottle from John’s Marketplace Portland, OR.

Not sure why such a low rating on this beer! It is a nice Czech Lager! Poured clear and crisp with a nice layer of foam that alsted the whole beer. Nice hops, with good bittering at the back. Extremely clear and light effervescence. Not just a good winter lager, but good for summer too!
