3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2014 Batch #3 Bottle 371/432. Murky brown with a beige head. Aroma of oak wood, malty caramel, some vanilla. Flavour is vinous oak, medium sour. Not what I expected. Reading these reviews I think there should be seperate entries for these Barrel Aged Poorters, as they seem to differ quite a bit.
Batch #4 Bottle 323/504. Very different from Batch #3, this one has more in common with the original Poorter and it is sweet rather that sour. Aroma of oak and vanilla. A bit too sweet for my taste.
