this is more of a lager they added raspberry flavour to. Its still very lagerish, with a subtle raspberry aroma and flavour, still kinda bitter int he finish, and kinda wattery, the raspberry is more in the aroma than the flavour, but overall a decent beer.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2007 Pours orange golden colour, thin splotchy film. Smells of raspberry and toast. Tastes of raspberry, bread, and hops in the finish. Pretty straight forward, had better fruit beers. Carbonation doesn’t stick around to long, but isn’t bad, kind of syrupy texture. All and all a half decent but nothing special fruit beer.

Light brown, trace of head. Definite raspberry aroma and flavor. Flavor fades fairly quickly, doesn’t allow for savoring. Not bad if you’re looking for something different from the usual brews.

Fruity raspberries to the nose for an exceptional bouquet. Beautiful foamy tan head of two fingers with a dark amber body that has a red hue. Indeed, this beer is all natural and was cold filtered as there is much sediment in it and the carbonation definitely comes from cask conditionning as opposed to macro style carbonation. The flavor is not bad but is a little too one dimensional on the raspberry side and the wheat along with other ingredients don’t come through enough (like drinking carbonated raspberry flavored water). The palate is watery and effervescent. Was never a fan of wheat beers. Doubly so for raspberry wheat beers. I would love to sample other KLB offerings though.

Bottle: Probably not a first choice for most beer drinkers....this used to be a hangover beer for me. Pours an orangish-amber colour with minimal head. The aroma is intensely...surprise...raspberries. Very light and sweet tasting. Goes down smooth and tasy. There is a definite raspberry aftertaste that almost feels unatural as it lingers on the palate. Not bad for a change or to turn a non-beer drinker onto beer but it will never be among my favourites.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size white head. Aroma: whoa, that’s quite sweet, like rapberries and sugary yeast. Very watery, sweet flavour of raspberries and grain with a slightly unpleasant stale bitter finish. Light bodied. Too sweet, too thin and in no way resembles a Wheat beer. Not very good at all.

Bottle. Poured a bright orange with a white head that quickly disappeared. Smell was like sour rasperries, but it didn’t come through too much in the flavor. The palate was akin to coors light or something along those lines. Not great, but drinkable I guess.
