mephisto (1097), Taiwan Aug 1, 2007 draft at the only cafe in toronto. it has copper hue with off white head, the aroma is raspberry and wheat as advertised. it is fruity and sweet in flavor.
JaPe (69), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 2, 2008 The colour is a misty reddish gold and the carb is livly .Decent mix of raspberry and wheat beer flavor,. But, there is a slight metalic after taste to the thing that bothers me a little and keeps me from giving it a better rating. JesseM (361), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jul 15, 2008 500mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours an orangish-brown with a tiny white head. Aroma is interesting, wheat malts and yeast with some rasberry tartness on top. Pretty sharp smelling actually, implying decent hops in this one. Flavour is OKAY at best, not really wheat beerish, but with that dull and unpleasant dryness I get sometimes from flavoured wheats. Decent rasberry flavour in the finish, a touch tart, but the flat sort of dull dryness really bugs me. Over-carbonated as well, another thing that tends to be a turn-off for me. It gets a bit better as it warms though, and I’m actually able to drink it all, unlike the pomegranate wheat from this same brewer. The berry tartness and hop sharpness are the aspects that keep me drinking it. I just have to swirl the glass a lot to kill some of the excessive effervesence. mgermani (583), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 11, 2008 Pours a cloudy brownish-orange with no head. Sweet wheaty aroma, light raspberry. Watery, light wheat malt taste with a decent gravity not to completely bore. Light raspberry, nothing bold about this beer at all. Low carb, thin body. Not as bad as I had prepared myself for, but so very bland. matt7215 (540), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Jun 29, 2008 500 ml bottle from the LCBO. nice to see this one availible in a single format. i wish more ontario brewers would offer a 500 or 473 ml option for their brews. pours golden with a small white head. aromas are hoppy with some raspberry near the back. flavours are thin pale malts, raspberry and hops. the tartness from the raspberry and bitterness from the hops sort of clash on the finish. a bit too thin and watery but not a bad effort overall. bgburdman9 (721), Columbus, Ohio, USA Mar 30, 2008 I had this while in toronto. My girlfriend liked this one and ordered it at 2 different bars. Aroma and flavor actually had a lot of raspberry to it. Not really bad at all but not an overly exciting beer.
