hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Oct 18, 2009 Corked and caged bottle. Medium sized fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, transparent orange body with a golden tint, one ring of lacing, and slow rising carbonation. The aroma was caramel, fruity, lightly spicy, and alcohol. The flavor was sweet, lightly bitter, caramel, fruity, some hops, and alcohol. The mouthfeel was lightly tingly, watery and thin. There was a late warming sensation as well. This is a light bodied beer. This beer is thin on texture and has a good balance. It is an okay beer, but not one that I will seek out again. gyllenbock (238), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 15, 2009 Bottle. The color is cloudy amber, with a fairly large foam that settles slowly.
The aroma was mild with malt, yeast, coriander and some fruitiness.
Clearly, I thought the beer would taste more, if only given the alcohol content. Sure, there is a spicy, mostly coriander, yeast and a little citrus flavor. The body is a bit thin. mbuisman79 (134), Amsterdam, Netherlands Oct 4, 2009 Wonderful aroma of citrus and peach. Flavor doesn’t start out special but there’s a nice mellow fruity flavor that lingers for a long time, bringing in some alcohol and hops in the end. Very nicely balanced. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 3, 2009 This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent strongly carbonated orange brown colored body. The aroma was malty and bready. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong mild vinous hop aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild hops dark malt and vienna malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. Straling (185), Heerlen, Netherlands Aug 20, 2009 Bottle 33cl.
Pours a clear orange colour with a small size head and normal carbonation.
It has a citrus and orange like aroma with some good spices there too.
Taste is very much of liqourice and salmiak, very odd taste for a beer, good orange flavour there too. faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Jul 8, 2009 Botella, courtesy of Pinball. Hazy deep amber colour. Off-white medium head. Sweet caramel fruity past date aroma. Sweet dark fruity yeasty caramel flavour with a soft bitterness. Pinball (2693), Allerød, Denmark Jul 7, 2009 bottle 33cl trade with papsoe.
slight citrussy faint spicy aroma - also yellow fruits.
light brownish, orangish amber, thick white head.
flavor is old beer, caramel, stale hops, appears balanced. JohnnyJ (1283), Carlsbad, California, USA Jul 1, 2009 Pours a slightly hazy orange color, white head. Candy sweetness, and fruit mostly. Peaches, sweet bread, caramel, and slight bitterness. It’s an okay beer, nothing amazing.
