Didn’t drink this earlier, to my surprise. Orange color. Malty, peachy aroma. I can smell the alcohol already. Hint of vegetables. Full bodied. Malt, alcohol, hints of hops and butte. Not a wonder of flavor, but nice and clean.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 24, 2005
The Lure: Biscuity malts and orange zest/coriander fruitiness create an intriguing Southampton Grand Cru pretender. Light yeast alights on lavender, white pepper and green leaves. Very interesting, though short of stardom.
The Festivities: The crunchy malt cookie and yeast interplay benefits from the low carbonation for a Belgian style. Oranges and flowers paint different colors onto the tasty malts, but all gets a bit static after a while. Simple, well-made, and rather easy to drink for its size.
Transcendence: A little too classy to quench warriors, a little too rough and homey to please kings.

Sampled at Arendsnest in Amsterdam, Holland.
Copper.
Trapped, dry and flat nose with nose of orange, grapes and caramel.
Firm, smooth, light-bodied and very fruity. Nots of grape, cinnamon, cranberry and melon. Solid but seems a little small for its size.

Bottle conditioned. Hazy amber orange, thin but persistant rocky white head and moderate condition. Good complex aromas of honey, malt, spices, orange, yeast and funky mushrooms. Fruity sweet and quite soft in the mouth with spicy yeast. Long finish that is quite dry and spicy with malt, yeast and coconut lingering.

Hazy orange brown color, medium lasting creamy head. Aroma is malty and fruity, bit bubblegum like in the La Trappe Quadrupel. Taste is also malty and sweet, bit alcoholic also. It reminds me of the La Trappe Quadrupel, which i like, but it's not as good.
