3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A lactose-sweet porter with a milky mouthfeel. I guess it went well enough with the chocolate undertones. Not sure it was robust enough to be a porter but I can’t readily classify it otherwise.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Looks better than it tastes. Deep red brown colourwith a good looking head, that never quite disappeared.
Slightly bitter and smoked aroma. Taste is fairly dull dark malts with hardly any finish or aftertaste.
So so effort.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled (BB 02/2006)
Very dark brown, huge cloudy brown head, lace. Roasted, milk chocolaty aroma. Chocolaty, woody, slightly metallic flavor. Sweetish stout/porter. Malty profile is ok, needs more hops to balance.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Chocolat roasted aroma with light spices. Dark brown color, almost black, light brown creamy head, good lace. Bitter start, light sweet, roasted, coffee, long lasting bitter roasted finish, little yeast, fruity, medium body, little dry. Reading the other reviews maybe the brewer changed it’s recipe because I loved it.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
An amber beer with sediment floating around and a beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of oranges. The flavor is sour with notes of chocolate and the body is thin. This is not a porter and the flavor is not pleasant.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Amber/orange colored beer with a foamy off-white head. Doesn’t look like a porter at all! Thin and weak aroma, some grass and malt tones and a slight bitterness. Also thin in the flavor. Sweet with weak tones of coffee and chocolate. Ok taste, but waaaay to thin and weak for a porter!

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Light reddish brown coloured with sediment. Weak aroma with fruity notes. Unpleasant flavour with lots of yeast flavour and not much else. Thin and watery.

Bottle Conditioned. BBE May 2005. Good wine and coffee & chocolate flavours, somewhat spoiled by the harsh carbonation even two hours after opening.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber color; creamy head. Delicate aroma, dominated by the vanilla. Quite good malty taste, with strong caramel character and decent hopping. Probably not a Porter, but the most enjoyable of this series of 3 Duimpje’s.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice deep dark almost black color.
They used very well prepared chocolate malts, because there is no burned taste at all.
Well balanced easy drinking beer. Until now the best porter beer of the Netherlands(2004)
