Bottle from a friend. Hazy golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, grass, a bit of hops, toast and earthy notes. Very light body. Bitter finish with citrus, grass and earthy notes. Decent ale, but seriously lacks depth in flavors.

Murky yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma of slight malts, citrus, some rye. Flavour is weak sour, very citrussy. Weak, watery body. Drinkable, but unremarkable.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Opaque murky pale yellow color, small white head that disappears almost instantly. Smell and taste are both pretty flat. Slightly malts, slightly rye I guess. There is clearly something else in there but I can’t figure out what it is. Doesn’t taste bad but not a lot of flavor. Body and carbonation are average at best as well.

Bottle @benzai shared by king benzai himself. Very hazy, opaque, pale yellow colour with a small white head that doesn’t last. Smells rye, sourish, infected. Tastes sourish, infected, weird.. I’m not a kuyt fan. Thin to medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle 330 ml into a Guinness pint. ABV 6% Bright golden yellow on a cloudy body, one finger of white head on top, with average retention. Light lacing left on the glass and a thin layer of foam on the beer’s surface after it collapsed. Aroma has a touch of smoke, or something burned, leather and as many of the Klein Duimpje beers I’ve tried recently a funky sour and quite yeasty aroma that sometimes works well and sometimes not. This time is somewhere in between, it doesn’t annoy but it doesn’t compliment it either. Taste of wheat, some hops, citrusy sourness, much better than I expected. Medium thin body, okay carbonation. Mildly tart palate. Overall not bad after all, and quite interesting to be honest.

Borresteijn (4407) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 10, 2013
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Opaque yellow colour, white head. Aroma of tart wheat, lemon, yeast, old hops, hint of paper, cotton. Flavour is lemon, citrus, tart wheat, rye bitterness, yeast, tart-bitter light-hoppy finish. Light-bodied. Nice enough beer imho, resembles the Kuyt beers from Jopen (Frans Hals) and Leckere.

33cl, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2013, from Melger’s Haarlem, not complex brew, malty/floral and slightly woody, not balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, nothing special

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a big white head. Aroma is quite strong on rye, along with some slight toasted and herbal notes. Also some slight sour wooden notes. Flavour is rye, some tart wooden notes, mild toast with some slight bitterness as well. Nothing I would particularly fancy having again...
