Zwart & Straf Winterbier

(Bottle, 0.33 l - generously offered by fonefan, at the 16th Kerstbierfestival) The beer poured almost black. Its head was small and light brown. Aroma had malts and mildly roastedness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, roastedness, liquorice, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had liquorice and low bitterness. Dark brown, light beige head, sticks good, collapse a bit to quick. Smell is very spiced, pepper anice. Real winterbeer smell for sure. Spiced light smoked taste, a bit earthy bitter and dry. Starts a bit sweet. Expected more. To dry spiced.
