COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zwart & Straf Winterbier
Kleveretien: De tien slaat zowel op het alcoholgehalte als op het 10-jarig bestaan van onze bierproefclub "Orde van de zatte Mus". De ontwikkeling van dit bier is een zware bevalling geworden. In totaal hebben we acht proefbrouwsels gemaakt in onze hobbybrouwerij alvorens we pas echt tevreden konden zijn over het resultaat. Kleveretien is bijna zwart, maar heeft weinig tot niets van een stout. De smaak is overwegend kruidig met een toets van drop (steranijs), caramel en donker fruit. Op het einde komt de alcoholwarmte meer naar boven.

Bottle thnx to filip Pours dark brown , no real foam Smell is bitter , some chocolate-ish sweetness Taste is sweet , dark fruits , raisins . Bit bitter . Pretty complex beer Nice !

Bottle @ sbwf13. Dark brown, thin off white head. Sweetish, spicy aroma, yeast. Flavor has elderberry, mild sweetness, hops, floral notes. Decent.

Dark brown colour with a minimal frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt and yeasty, hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor is pretty much the same as aroma but with a strong alcohol presence. light to medium body and light carbonation. Alcohol finish.

shared a bottle with a friend. pours a deep brown colour with a tan head. with a good carbonation level. aroma of coffee, toffee and brown sugar. warm feeling from the alcohol. nice roasted. with some red fruits of cherries. with a small bitter chocolate finish

Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Toffee and anise aromas dry with dark it fruit and chocolate front to back. Lasting bitter earth finish.

On tap at Monks Kettle. Pours pitch black with a modest tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a full-bodied dark malt flavor with a smooth chocolate finish. Very tasty.

How: Bottle.
Where: A store close to the castle in Gent.
Appearance: Dark brown colour with a tan head.
Aroma: Liquorice, dark fruit, roasted malt.
Body: Full bodied with a good carbonation.
Flavour: Dark malt, liquorice, chocolate. Mild, slightly bitter, finish.
Comment: Surprisingly enjoyable. Maybe a boat ride on a warm day isn’t the best place to enjoy it fully, but it still tasted nice.

Pours dark brown with thin beige head. Sharp aroma of malt, wood, whiskey barrel. Taste is roast grain, cherries, dried fruit. Smoky, yet smooth,very drinkable.

beige coffee coloured head with quite big CO2 bubbles disappears quite fast with foam head and structured lacing. cola coloured. aroma of spices, cinnamon, coriander, clove, yeast, ester, sweet and alcoholic. taste is a bit sweet, spices, liquorice, malt, yeast and a long aftertaste of liquorice and slight bitter finish. mouthfeel is alcohol warmth, medium body and rather soft carbonation. bottle 33 cl / best before sept 2014
