It’s golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of flower, fruit, butterscotch and malt. The flavor has a light/moderate sweetness with lovely notes of flower, butterscotch, fruit and malt, and the finish is slightly dry. Very easy to drink.

MoritzF (8250) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 3, 2009
(bottle, with thanks to Stefan for the samples !) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized frothy white head. Slightly sweet and distinctively grainy malty aroma with a shy herbal hoppy background. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated, crispy mouthfeel. Pale malty and moderately grainy taste with a rural note of pig-sty (in the positive sense); moderately dry and sweet bitter finish with well-rounded malty and herbal hoppy accents. A balanced Helles with rural Landbier-character (03.III.09).

Bottle. A clear, golden beer topped by a rather small, white head. Buttery and fruity nose with some grains. The flavor has the same buttery touch, but is mostly fruity. Some pale malts and bitterness too, but overall I think it’s too buttery. Dry and quite heavily carbonated, medium body. Except for the butterscotch, it’s a drinkable beer, quite quenching too, but I won’t miss it. 111105
