Lightly hazed copper colored liquid. Smaller dense light tan head. Aromas of buttered rye bread. Slightly sour smelling, rye sourmash? Light sweetness and mild rye spice. Somewhat water in feel and flavor.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2015-06-05. Hazy dark orange amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Aroma is muted with toasty tangy malt notes. Flavour is similar, tangy quality to a malty core. Smooth average bodied palate, light carbonation. Okay, but a bit odd. Can at Edmonton Craft Beer Festival.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Canned beer this was decent. Dark Brown in color, hazy with a thin tan head. Not much to this beer just a average beer made for the masses.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can from Total Wine in Lynwood, WA. Pours hazy light amber with a slight head. Aroma is fruity, rye, malty. Med minus body. Flavor is thinnish fruit/rye. Not really satisfying as to taste. Flavors seem weak. Not all that dunkel.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, popcorn), with notes of souring/fermenting fruit juice, decaying banana skins, bile, metal.
Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Flavor is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Truly awful...seemingly infected and just plain undrinkable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can. Golden amber, estery caramel aroma and flavour. Inoffensive but bland-- not like a Klingon at all.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Refrigerated 16 oz. aluminum can poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy amber with medium beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel malt, some clove, some rye, and hints of smoke. Not your typical dunkleweizen, if it is one.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Rating #1076 - May 3, 2014 - Calgary Beerfest - Can’t say no to the klingon logo - was hoping for some Ga’ak to pair with it. Straight up this is not a dunkelweizen - it’s a rye grain dunkel - Aroma is ripened soft fruit, toasted almond. Palate is kind of an odd creamy texture in the mouthfeel that subverts everything else I should be experiencing. Not fun.
