3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma contained some apple, red grape and apricots. Appearance was golden brown with a creamy, low carbonation head. Flavor just popped out everywhere in this beer! Ripe grapes, sour apple and honey all in concert. Palate was fizzy and ended creamy. Another underrated winner.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Three Floyds Brewpub. Poured translucent medium golden with a sticky, well-retained cap of off-white head.. looked great! The aroma picked up sweet, toasty pale and honey maltage with a very distinct peppery yeast.. sour light fruit skins including green apple accented, along with more spices.. warm impression with a whole lot going on. The flavor had a sweeter core of honey and medium-darker fruits paired with raisins and black cherries.. sour lighter fruit skins (apricot and green apple) laced throughout.. spicy, grainy yeast hit on the middle and carried through the finish.. tasty! Heavier-bodied and strong on the palate, but fairly well-balanced.. long, memorable finish. Intriguing brew that I’d love to try again.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Paradiso in DC on late November 2008: Transparent copper orange with a well-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet toasty biscuity Belgian malts with some light fruity esters and clove spice. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramely maltiness with some tart fruity balance and bready yeasty complexity before a drier, warming finish. A pretty good Belgian strong ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
75 cl bottle, small and unstable white head disapearing fastly, nice dark golden colour. You get an overwhelming alcoholic smell with notes of orange. The aroma is apricot, alcohol, sweetness, soft grainy and refreshing. I get a warm feeling after some gulps. Pleasant strong ale typical van steenberge.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 75 cl, shared with parket (who will give his opinion very soon). For a 11,5 degrees beer, I was surprised the beer is blond, and even more: it has a beautiful dark golden colour and some bubbles. The beer starts with a slight, unstable head, that soon disappears. The smell is alcohol, but also fruity and yeasty and a bit of orange peel. The taste is mainly apricot, with a slight orange peel and light alcohol afterstaste, but is also light grainy and sweet and also dry, which makes this a refreshing beer. An exclusive beer with a great taste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at TND: Aroma of pale malts, light yeast, fruit, and hint of spice. Poured amber/orange in color with a huge, foamy, frothy, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Very good lacing. Medium sweet flavor. Tastes of pale malts, light grains, light fruit, sugar, light yeast, and slight honey. Light to medium body. Thin, slick texture. Soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet, pale malt, slight fruit and sugar finish. 11.5%ABV is totally unnoticeable. Amazing, and dangerous, drinkability for a such a high ABV.
