yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 12, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a huge bubbly off-white head. Mild yeasty and mild caramel malty. Caramel malty and yeasty spiced flavour with a mild yeasty. Spiced and mild caramelish finish with a lasting yeasty presence. MiP (6018), Flensburg, Germany Sep 10, 2008 Bottle, 11.5%. Weak spicy aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Small white head. Sweet flavour, slightly spicy. High carbonation. Quite peppery, but not as much as expected. Slightly rough hop and alcohol finish. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 6, 2008 On tap at Waterhuis, Gent. There was a fair amount of this left on the table from the Babblebelt, so I guess not many people liked it. Belgian bready yeast aroma. Over carbonated. It’s ok, just fairly basic. JorisPPattyn (4497), Antwerpen, Belgium May 20, 2008 Clear copper-amber bere, with a huge, fluffy yellowish head. Coriander, orange/citruspeel, white candi sugar and alcohol in the nose. Dry-bitterish, citrussy; less coriander than in the nose, caramel and cookies. Slightly burning MF,well-bodied, but high attenuation. Van Steenberge is rarely bad. And rarely original. Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England May 12, 2008 A Mes rate: Draught at the Waterhuis.Orange copper with a reasonable off white head. Lots of sweet alcohol and fairly heavy yeast in the aroma with a little icing sugar too. Flavour is just too sweet and tangy for me. Yeasty sugary and just a little too over the top.
