(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a small, rough, off-white head. Lightly tart and malty nose. Medium-bodied with lightly tart and vinous accents. Has a vaguely smoked note. A dry finish. Not your typical Dunkel, but not uninteresting. 220906
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2008
Draught at the brewpub Cloudy chestnut color. The aroma is very mild. The flavor too is not exciting, with some mild caramel and nothing else; it has a very low bitterness. Drinkable, refreshing Dunkel, but too simple.

Wenig malziger Antrunk, der allerdings dezente Karamellnuancen aufweist. Wenig getreidig, süffig, später holzig und etwas erdig, trockener, das Malz zieht sich zurück. Mild, tirnkbar aber langweilig. 5/7/7/7/8/7

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (6120) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 14, 2007
500ml swing-top bottle brought back from Trier in Germany and enjoyed at home in Tromsø on a Saturday eve. Pours a big thick and rocky yellow-brownish head with good retention, blanketing the glass. Slightly hazy, tan body. Quite solid aroma of dark chocolate. Shortage of taste at first, then becoming malty as it warms. Skilful blend of dark and brown roasted malts with hints of raisin and nuts beneath. Dry and dusty aftertaste (13.10.2007).

Tap. Toffee malt, sour milk malt and hay hops aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and moderately bitter fresh hay/grass hops flavor. Excellent - a dunkel that is fruity and hoppy.
