2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not the best of de Kloster Machern beers, that was the Dunkel. But this is a beer like al pils.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Frisch getreidiger und gleichzeitig säuerlicher Antrunk. Vollmundig cremig getreidig mit wenig Hopfen, süffig, gut karbonisiert. Zum Ende herber, mild, das Ganze wirkt ziemlich jung. Nett. 8/8/9/8/9/8

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty good, but the flavor and palate is almost there, just needs a little tweak. It is a nice amber-brown color, no lacing small white head. It tastes good until the swallow and then a slightly unnatural flavor unfolds on the palate. Overall, would be a much better beer, if they adjust the late flavor here and use less of a raw wheat burlap flavor recipe it would be great.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2012 Bottle. Light diacetyl aroma, fruity yeast. Cloudy yellow, champagne bubbles, offwhite foam. Light fruity soap, a lot of butterscotch, good hop profile. Chewy mellow mouthfeel, sparkly on the tongue. Shame about the fault, I sense a good beer underneath, must try again.

50cl bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Cloudy straw with ample fizzy white head and a good amount of sediment. Aroma is sweet malt and flowery hops. Flavor is citrus, honey, caramel. Full body, high carbonation. Short, modestly bitter finish. Very drinkable. Nice brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
In the aroma and taste there is a slight grape and light breadiness. Very clean and fresh tasting. Golden with a fading white head. Very refreshing and surprisingly good for a lager.
Notes: Bottle from a Schnapps store in Bernkastle-Kues

A nice light colored beer. Taste is smooth and very refreshing. Is a great Greman beer and freash and well done. Great beer of true German lines. I noticed that they claim Bavarian Purty laws and not German. Interesting since this is so far from Bavaria.

500 ML Fliptop bottle in Germany. Pour cloudy with one of the best lacying heads I have seen in a Helles. Aroma is well balanced and taste is a fine mix of hopps, malt and sweetness. As a Helles goes this natural unfiltered Helles is one of the best I have ever had. A must for Helles fans!!!1
