Maria (3899), Thisted, Denmark May 9, 2008 From tap sitting in front of Klosterbräu. Light golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel and light fruit. The flavour has a light and smooth sweetness, notes of caramel and malt and the finish has a nice, slightly dry citrus bitterness. It’s a refreshing pilsner.
imdownthepub (3978), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 12, 2008 On tap at Klosterbrau Brewpub, Bamberg, 500ml. Pale greenish gold, carbonated with white head. Lowly flavoured pils, seemingly just purely a malt beer, quite sharp and tinny. Quite dissapointing on the whole. fonefan (4062), Ulfborg, Denmark Nov 2, 2007 Draught @ brewery tap, Bamberg, Germany. Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, dust. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (171007) Jukkabro (2307), Tampere, Finland Aug 27, 2007 Yellow colored, huge white head. Interesting, let’s say strong hayish and hopped, even herbal-perfumy aroma, this one dominates with some fruits. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is even more hopped and herbal, lemon also there. Aftertaste is very lasting with this same perfumy-herbs. Interesting brew, still rather one-dimensional. Hops strong in aftertaste. Slayer85 (440), Firenze, Italy Aug 17, 2007 Bottled. A blonde beer with a big white head. The aroma has light notes of herbal hops on a malty background. Balanced flavours between malt and hops and the bitterness is not very high. Quite light body, medium long aftertaste. A fresh and quenching Pilsner.
