3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pale golden body with some sediment in the beer, a moderated but nice and delicious white lacing head. Fine floral hop perfume and a balanced malt aroma, some yeast. Smooth mouthfeel with malt, fine bottom-yeast and a moderated and well-balanced hop, some almond taste. Complex one with a fine aftertaste. And brewed by a nun, it is fantastic!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
1/03/2008: Klosterbräu Mallersdorf Vollbier Hell has a pale golden yellow color with a moderate amount of carbnation and tons of sediment suspended in it. The white head is initially very large and slowly fades aways and settles into a lasting, pillowy crown. The aroma is modestly sweet and has a nice, sweet floral quality like honey comb. The flavor is also floral and perfume-like (almost, but not quite soapy) with some sweet, smooth Pils-like maltiness underneath. The flavor is quite clean and there is a whisp of crisp hop bitterness in the finish that balances this beer well. The palate is quite soft and smooth. This medium-light-bodied beer just glides down so nicely.
0.5 L flip-top bottle (alc. 5% vol. / Tag 25. Monat 2) from Tmoney99. Thank you very much for this rare bottle, Tom. I really appreciate it! Rating #8 for this beer...

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Bottle 0,5l) This beer is brewed by sister Doris in the convent of mallersdorf. Its the only beer in Germany that is brewed by a nun! This beer is as simple as the monastery life. But in this simplicity lies the secret of this great beer. Smooth, balanced, honest.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery tavern and bottled: Golden coloured, visible carbonation, persistent white head; clean sweet-malty nose with a detectable bitter-hoppy background; medium bodied, moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, smooth MF; the hops become more evident in the clean bitter-sweet- malty finish with a touch of barley in the aftertaste. Nuns brew better......

(draught at the brewery tap nearby the monastery) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized and persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly grainy pale malty nose with a honey-fruity tinge and a mild herbal hoppy blend. Moderately sweet flavour with a light but balancing bitterness. 3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from freind in Michigan that his wife lived in this area and came back from Germay with a case. Poured a hazy golden color with a moderate frothy white head that diminished slowly and produced some lacing. Good complex sour hoppy aroma. Medium body. Complex sour hoppy and yeast flavor with a moderate finish. Very interesting brew.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is the best beer i have ever tasted. It has a nice head..full lite tast and a sensational aroma..that should entice even the most cynical of beer drinkers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottled) Very hazy, very light and golden/yellow color with strange, large, non-moving yeast particles. Slightly sour, yeasty and quite hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied, sourish, malty flavor with reasonable hopping. A very nice and refreshing summer brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden color, firm frothy head. Malty, somewhat hay-like aroma. Full bodied, almost thick. Malty, creamy and a good deal of hops. Grass. Also a long grassy hopbitter finish. Quality beer, but personally I don't like the grassy bit. Still, a very nice surprise to find this beer brewed by a nun in the Wijn en Bierboetiek in The Hague.
