2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
courtesy of fiulijn - pours a clear dark ruby-brown beer with a moderate foam left; aroma of toffees with hints of biscuit; medium-bodied and pretty sweet; slightly dry aftertaste of toffees - quite modest and more a dunkel than a schwarzbier

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Flip-top bottle. Pours dark brown in color with small beige head. Sweet maltyness along with roasted malts and hints of chocolate in aroma. Reminds a bit of some sweet rye bread actually. Roasted malty mostly and hints of coffee in flavor but sadly there it ends. A bit dry in taste and feels a bit monotonous compared to the fact that the aroma promised a bit more. The malty sweetness and ’juiciness’ was not just there in the end.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
shallow instant coffee and chocolate flavoured dunkel that tastes like it’s made out of a homebrew kit. smells like cheap jam. clean finishing at least. reminded me of Young’s DC stout, weirdly enough.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Black-brown beer with a huge beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee. Somewhat harsh. Flavor of coffee grinds, blackened roasted malt, burnt popcorn. Finish is surprisingly clean.

In the 0.5L bottle at the Huber Haus German Bier tasting. Extremely dark brown to black color with no head at all. Roasted aroma. Mild sweetness, but not much body. Fairly watery. Looks tough, though. The label on the bottle was orange and yellow colored, not black.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled. A black coloured beer with a decent but short-lived off white head. The aroma has some sour milk, a little coffee and a touch of cocoa powder. The taste is tainted by sour milk also. A lightly roasted malt background saves it from being nasty, together with some dusty chocolate. Maybe a little infected?

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dark brown. Slightly chocolatey, cocoa aroma is sort of fresh. Toasty, biscuity palate with hints of cocoa. Slightly thin. The body is a bit charred, not my type of schwarzbier.

Colore marrone, schiuma beige fine e ab persistente. Aroma di caramello, liquirizia in bastoncino, frutta secca. al palato ritroviamo la frutta secca. Dolcezza e caramello.
