500ml bottle. Clear brownish dark amber with small off-white head. Grainy dark malt aroma with hints of pumpernickel. Slightly sweet dark malt taste, gaining richness and power in the second half. Pumpernickel resemblance, comparable sweetness, vestiges of husk. Kind of fluid dark bread.

Bottle. Brown color. Hint of caramel in the aroma. Milk chocolate and caramel in the malty sweetish flavor. Fairly low on carbon, yet rather tasty.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

EithCubes (4905) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Bottle by 08.05.12. Nose is very sweet caramel with a little roast. Dull red body with orange around the sides and a creamy rocky tan head. Taste is moderately dry, caramel stickiness with some roast and light berry. Smooth medium-full body is flat, faint nuts, a little bitterness at the end, this improved with volume.

It’s dark amber with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt and nuts. The moderately sweet flavour has notes of malt, caramel, nuts and hints of chocolate. Thanks Fonefan for this nice dunkel.
