Danish: Årsøllen er brygget med respekt for cisterciensermunkenes udbredelse af ølbrygningen i Europa tilpasset nutidens krav om ensartet kvalitet og friskhed i smag. Årsøl er en dobbelt bock øl kobberfarvet, hvor der er anvendt 4 forskellige malte, blåbær for at give smag og farve, igen er der brugt Hallertauer humle.

Denne årsøl har et lidt uklart rød-brunligt udseende med et medium hvidt skum. Øllen har en sød og maltet aroma og smager sødt af karamel med noter af lakrids samt en bitter afrunding. Medium karbonering.

Bottle@Salling, Aarhus. Pours brown with an off-white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malts, caramel, some berries, herbal, some spices. Soft carbonation. Light bitter finish.

50cl bottle, served in tulip. Pours dark amber with small white head. Both aroma and taste are basically: tones of malt, liquorice and dark fruits. Almost no bitterness...that is something I miss because that supposedly was something slightly diferent... I couldn’t see it. Body and carbonation are too light. Average beer.

Appearance: pours clear dark amber with ok white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste notes: caramel, bread, berries and floral hints. palette: light to medium aroma, medium carbonation, medium body, average to notable caramel sweetness, low to average bitterness, medium duration and an oily texture. Overall: decent bock with some ale notes

Bottled @ home. Aroma of caramel, some spicy hops. Colour is copper-brown-ish with tiny head. Virtually no head lasting. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish.
