beim öffnen der Flasche strömt mir ein Intensiver Röstmalzig süßer Geruch entgegen, es ist ein Geruch der genauso an Lakritz als auch an Kaffee erinnert, riecht schonmal spannend! Farblich ist es so schwarz das man nicht durchschauen kann, sogar die Schaumkrone ist dunkelbraun und hält gut. Geschmacklich ist es anfangs zwar cremig malzig und auch schmeckt man die röstmalzigkeit, allerdings ist dabei ein mittelstarker alkoholgeschmack der in Kombination mit der Süße nur mittelmäßig gelungen wirkt. Nach einer Viertelstunde schmeckt der Stout Röstmalzig süß, im Nachgeschmack aber viel süß-saurer dafür nur leicht alkoholisch. Fazit: Kein schlechtes Bier aber der Geruch hat mehr versprochen.

Bottle. Dark brown to black pour, thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, spicy hops, bready yeast and chocolate. Flavor is bitter roasted and spicy hops. Some leather. Quite smooth. Nice brew.
