Aroma is mild spicy, fruity. Flavor is sweet, like white sugar, mild malty, a hint of caramel, spicy and a touch of warming alcohol. Nothing really wrong here, but not particular exiting either. More like a belgum tripel/blond than dobbelbock. Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottle. A hazy orange beer with some floaties. The head is looking nice, two finger thick and off-white, but collapsing rather quickly. Leaves lacings though. The aroma has a stale fruityness, syrupy sweetness and some alcohol. Alcohol and fruit syrup is dominating the flavor too, with peach and pineapple doing most of the fruityness. Warming, sticky and full-bodied. Sweet, fruity and warming finish. Too warm, too sweet and too sticky, and not much resemblance to a doppelbock. Still, not bad at all. 090707 oh6gdx (9162), Vasa, Finland
