Bottled. Pours clear deep amber with an average sized, creamy, short lasting beige head. Fair lacings. Average carbonation. Nose of caramel, fruit and spicy notes. Sweet flavour with caramel, nuts and bread. Medium bodied. Oily/ syrup texture. Ends up with a little bitterness and the taste of cranberries. OK.

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A hazy, reddish brown beer with a fine-looking dense, beige head. Spices, herbs, candi sugar and caramel on the nose. The flavor is sweet, spiced and with a bitterness I’m not very excited about. Medium to full body, almost sticky sweet, and well carbonated. There’s a herbal bitterness in the finish. A quite nice one, needing the sweetness it has. 091023

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Esbjerg. Pours a hazy nutbrown beer with an offwhite/beige head. The aroma is spices and caramel. The flavor is sweet, berries and bitterness. The palate is bitter. Overall an average beer.

Bottled. A very dark red-brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of candy sugar and malt as well as hints of spices - a bit of cloves, and some herbal notes. The flavor is sweet with a strong malty impression on which is quite strong notes of candy sugar, again combined with subdued notes of spices and herbs, leading to a dry sugary finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue.

Bottled. Dark brownish coloured. Dense brown head. ARoma of caramel, cocoa, brown sugar, ripe fruits and herbs. Flavour of caramel, fruits, spice and light liqourice. Medium bodied. A fruity and somewhat watery end. Has some spicy and light roasty notes.

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Deep ruby red colour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, vegetables, spices, burnt sugary as well as liquoriceish. Flavour is caramel, earth, yeast and some grassyness.
