0.5l bottle from #177. Looks quite good in the glass with a deep blurry really dark amber red body under a medium sized light bubbly but lasting beige head. On the nose I get a nice sweet caramel and fruit sweetness. Red apples with a faint darkness in the back. It’s father fruitiness that dominates this and I’m liking it. It has a thin oily feeling in the mouth while it’s soft on the bubbles. Really soft. Nothing to say on the flavors here. Fruity caramel with a good hoppy kick. Red berries and traces of something slightly roasted before its giving me licorice. Dried licorice. Lots of flavor and IMO a really successful amber. It’s really lightdrinkable this. I’m so impressed that I can honestly say that this is something I want to have again. Not often that happens in these kinds of beers. 29.03.2014

Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a deep slightly hazy amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is nuts, nougat, peachy red fruit tones and hints of grains and herbs. Taste is bitter herbs, nutty grain tones and hints of chocolate, grapefruit and mild red berries. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. A quite straightforward yet balanced and tasty amber ale from Klostergården.

God fruktig ettersmak.

500ml bottle, brygg #148, 4.7 % abv, beer gift from Ellen. Huge off-white head reduced to a remaining layer. Solid lacework. Near-clear, amber coloured body. Caramel malts and citrus on the nose, mid-dry. Red orange flavours mingled with caramel malts. Roasted bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Fresh and soft in the mouth. Nice (Shared with Finn, Tromsø 06.02.2014).

Skarp i kantene.

Deep amber color, malty aroma. Bittersweet, nutty. The rather sharp bitterness creeps in, leaving a long hoppy tail. Excellent.
