Knee Deep’s Batch 138 India Pale Ale is brewed with three types of C hops and Simcoe, which gives this West Coast IPA an aroma that resembles a cat that has peed in a pine tree. Batch 138 finishes dry and crisp and is sure to leave you in hop euphoria.

Hazy orange colored body, medium sized white head, spotty lacing. Grapefruit, pine, some bready malts. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation, mild sweetness throughout, lively bitterness in the finish.

Great west coast style IPA. Reminds me Hoppageddon. Citrus and pine aroma notes. I would love to see more flavor hops .. maybe batch 139

Dark amber color with a large head. Aroma has tangerine, hops and grapefruit. Lots of herbs up front then citrus and some malts in the finish. Good beer.

Pours a clear gold. Has a sweet floral hop aroma. A sweet citrus and floral hop taste, but not very strong. However it has a lingering bitter hop aftertaste.

pours murky pale golden greyish with a nice off-white head showing some retention and lacing - kind of dirty looking though. toasted and almost torrefied grains, wheat husks, melons, spicy pine, citrus, C’s indeed with some of their sometimes harshness, touch of chocolate and mint (!), clean but dusty yeast, earthy undertones. light carbonation, light body - oily, balanced grassy-spicy-piney finish. decent yet unconvincing ipa.

Nice, but starting to get harder to tell apart all tyheir hoppy stuff, even back to back. Not as much cat pee on a pine tree as they’d have you expect, but a nice combo of dry and dank hops. Solid."

Bottle. The is a darker orange. The aroma is hoppy, but a little light. The taste is kinda boring. Doesn't seem like a 7.5% beer for sure. Nice subtle hops of that is what you are looking for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Just an incredible beer. The hop notes of the beer flower and bloom at the top of the lacy head. Crisp and smooth through the mouth feel as the beer doesn't linger. The hops are tart but not incredibly bitty.

Bottle courtesy of Andrew. Pours a deep clear amber red body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is light pine hop and a ton of malt character. This one seemed to have been a bit too old - flavors of stale bready malt dominate leaving little room for any hop profile. Would love to try this fresh though, as some of the other Knee Deep offerings have proven to be delicious.
