Growler from Albertsons. Classic IPA, hoppy but allowing the malts to come through. Pours out a deep, clear golden with frothy head. Hoppy, citrus aroma. Taste is hops first, coming on quite strongly, with a nice malt backbone. The hops linger in the aftertaste for a while.

The City Beer Hall, Albany, NY, draft. The taste is...odd. Off putting at first, I think it could grow on me. What is it? Grass? Burnt grass? Not malt, is it? Strong, whatever it is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is quite a malty ipa. As it warms you begin to get more of a fruity balance. Very enjoyable but wish it had a more dry hop backing.
