Citrusy grapefruit hoppy aroma with pine, yeast spiciness Pours a clear golden color with lasting white creamy head. Resinous bitter piney hops, yeasty spice. Medium full body, medium co2, lingering bitterness. It's ok. I prefer the original much better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear rust orange with thick white head. A strong floral hop aroma. A strong floral hop, wheat, and grain taste. A dry and slightly bitter aftertaste.

Bomber purchased at BevMo in Escondido ($6.99). Pours a hazy golden-orange hue with one finger of white foam. AROMA of loquat, apricot, nectarine, citrus spicy hops, and white wine. FLAVOR with lots of fruit (tangerine, grapefruit, red grape, apricots, peaches), pine needles, and herbal and spicy hops, with a bit of bready malts. Nice mixture of traditional DIPA flavors with some extra interesting fruitiness from the Belgian yeast fermentation. Still finishes fairly bitter. The high ABV is fairly well concealed. A pretty good effort on a "style" that is hard to do. (28, 840)

Big hoppy smell, sharp with a yeast end. Taste like a knee deep big ipa the Belgian finish is a little over shadowed by the hops but it is still a delicious balance. It leaves the palate coated in a warm hop malt that activates as your tongue traces the surface. Knee Deep makes amazing IPA and this is no different.

I’m starting early on IPA day!! Strong skunky, cat urine (in a good way if that’s possible) hop aroma from a crystal clear light gold body with a white head. Candied fruit and light bubblegum flavors hit first followed by sweet vanilla and caramel. The alcohol announces itself clearly but not overwhelmingly as do the flavoring hops which cling to the tongue with a light earthy/mushroomy flavor that balances nicely with the malt sweetness. The yeast does stand out as Belgian-ish and adds another nice component to this. Finishes dry and sweet with residual wood and vanilla flavors. Excellent, interesting DIPA. Happy IPA Day everyone!!

Pours from bomber a clear amber with a small white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving a ring of foam and decent lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrus, pine, sweet malts, banana, pepper and cloves, spicy hops, and candied fruits. Flavour of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, clove, pepper, bubblegum, pine, floral, light honey, light banana, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish. Good stuff....

Tap. Clean pinkish-gold color. Head on the thin side. Minimal webbing. Nice, fresh nose of hemp, orange and pine, in that order. Toffee malts behind. Medium body. Taste starts sweet - sweet malts - and moves to bitter. More orange and pine. Creamy mouthfeel. High abv hid well. Nice stuff.

From bottle in San Diego. This is a big beer. The Belgian yeast flavors are muted, which is great for me, and the rest is all sorts of pine, citrus, herbs. Sticky oily. A bit too sweet but excellent job for a 9% DIPA.
