Dark orange pour with mild head, from 22oz bomber. Huge hoppy smell, grapefruit and orange peels. Bitter malty taste, smells better than it tastes but I like it

22 oz, lil head, smells like a grassy field with hints of lemon. Tastes like lemon Peel, and grass. Super light malt, fairly strong kushy hop aftertaste.

[bottle] Biscuity citrus and cat pee hops aroma with some caramel. Clear dark gold under a lasting, thin, white, lacy cover. Sweet caramel malt flavour that is creamy and very well balanced by an assertive bitterness that comes in with potent strawberry and grapefruit peel. Medium body, medium carbonation, lasting bitter finish.

Amber color, hazy, with generous head. The aroma is hoppy, with citrusy hints, and some earthy character too. Smooth caramel and toffee flavor, with light biscuity touch; strong bitterness, the quality hops provide a very good citrusy and resiny character. Long final.
Fresh and excellent.

Wicked hoppy aroma, however, you don't taste all of it. Nice lite amber color with an unremarkable head. Not bad, but not one of my favs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I think the average beer drinker would think this was an IPA just from the taste. Not sure who it’s just a pale ale, "extra" or not. This is very much in the mold of its big brother Hoptologist and even BIGGER older brother Simtra. Same big citrusy aroma, sweet taste and balancing hop explosion on the back. Really wish this came in six-packs, as it would be a great daily drinker for those who want huge hop flavor but not the 10-11.25% abv of the bigger beers in their line-up.

This starts out with a huge grapefruit aroma, and pours a clear amber with a full white head. Big hop flavor here, with grapefruit and a tropical sweetness. Nice lingering bitter finish. Overall a really good American Pale Ale, and one I would highly recommend. I’m curious what some of the other single hop series tasted like.
