22oz bottle. Clear amber with a big rocky head. Aroma is dominated by grapefruit peel with some floral and caramel notes. Flavor is bitter hops from start to finish with just a bit of mellow malt for balance, alcohol completely hidden. Medium body with lively carbonation. Great beer to showcase the Citra hop, tons of hop character and well balanced.

Bomber purchased at Barons Market’s Rancho Bernardo location ($6.99). Pours a dark amber-red hue with two fingers of eggshell-colored head. Aroma of bright citrus, honeysuckle, and caramel. Flavor of citrus (tangerine and lemon peel), honey, caramel, and some grainy bread. Somewhat light-bodied, but finishes rather bitter for an APA. (70, 725)

Light golden pour with lots of head. Great hoppy aroma. Flavor is dry, fairly typical. Nice thanks to the aroma.

This poured a lighter orange color with a beige head. Aroma was prettty much all citra hops, not extremely bright though with grainy notes and some lemon peel. Flavor was medium hop bitterness, nice fruity notes, and medium to light maltiness in the back. Decent pale ale.

Tap - fair size foamy head, very nice medium orange color, huge citrus/grapefruit hop aroma and flavor with a decent size malt backbone - very good pale ale, if you like big citrus flavors

This 22-oz bottle was shared in a joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook chat. It poured an amber gold with a good sized and long lasting white head and a lot of lacing. Nose of citrus and tropical fruit on a clean caramel malt aroma. Medium in body. Very smooth in the mouth. The flavor is big on both taste and bitterness. Very well balanced with the malt. Finish is citrus and good bitterness. A very good single hop.

Thought I rated this months ago... At any rate, it isn’t up to something say like ZD but it is nice.

Medium gold, clear, white head. Citrusy orange-tangerine hop aroma, some caramel malt sweetness in the flavor and a little biscuit, followed by some resiny bitterness with more citrus in finish. Very drinkable, good citra hop showcase. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bomber from Hayduke that we shared via facebook chat. This beer had light haze and was coppery gold. A nice head that gushed after being rolled. Citrus and caramel are the aroma. First sip is bitterness. Citrus is big and is grapefruit and softer citrus. Caramel adds plenty of sweetness and must be significant here. Perhaps a bit of paper. This hop is able to stand on its own.
