bomber, sweet body. not enough of the citra to really showcase the hops. sweet body, sweet finish. this wouldve been great 10 years ago.

22oz bottle in a glass. Pours golden / amber with a lacy, white head. Aroma of citrusy and floral and lightly fruity hops, pale and light caramel malts, and light dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A solid pale ale with a good use of the citra hops.

Bottled on 3/11. Too old? What the hell do I know? Ate it with a taco truck burrito. Damn Good Friday evening.

This was interesting. Dark honey pour with modest head. Strong, astringent, grapefruit aroma and taste. Pith and rind. Bitter coming and going, very even in the front, middle, and finish, kind of one dimensional. Dropped off the palate with little aftertaste. If I didn’t really like bitter beers, citrus over floral, this would be over the top. But I enjoyed it quite a bit. Would I drink again? Yes. Would I order again? Yes.

Bottle split at JF’s, 04/05/14, from the bottle barn in Santa Rosa. Clear golden orange with a mahoosive off white head. Nose is caramel malt forward, hoppy tinges, grass, orange pith, light grapefruit. Taste follows along the same lines, all about the malt, the citra hops and citrus fruits just don’t shine through. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, some hop bitterness in a sweetish close. Nah - this is a letdown, give Kernel a call and they’ll tell you how to showcase a hop/hops, to sweet and caramac.

It’s funny because the beer is an Extra Pale Ale but it tastes how an IPA should taste, which makes it that much better. I got a combination of hop and citrus flavor and the flavor doesn’t fade it stayed the whole time. A surprisingly strong beer but nevertheless drinkable and enjoyable.

Aroma: Citrus hop aroma, with grassy finish. Grapefruit and lemons. Appearance: Beautiful orange to light copper. Persistent creamy white head. Taste: Citrus and hop bitterness dominate. Very well balanced. Malt present enough just to balance only. Grassy hints in the finish. Palate: Effervescent and dry. Head adds creamy texture throughout. Overall: So very refreshing. A well made Pale showcasing the amazing Citra hop. Could drink this all day, everyday.

This is a very malty Pacific Northwest Style pale with a thick, resiny flavor. Syrup-like mouthfeel, but bitter and bold on the palate. Dark amber color leads topped with a solid white head, which only lasts for a short stint

On tap @ Uncle Henry’s Deli. Clear orange colored pour with a white head. Aroma is quite tropical and fruity. Lots of nice pineapple notes. Big grapefruit and orange...a hint of lemon-lime, maybe peaches. Light malt sweetness to the palate. Good pineapple, grapefruit, and orange zest flavors. Sweet peach and a mild lemon-lime soda.

pours light amber, thin cream head. orange zest, pine, ample bitterness, light undertones of sweetness. plenty of carbonation to keep this train chugging down the tracks.
