Bottle:   Dull orangish amber, slight haze, moderate to large frothy white head, nice lacing.   Pith and floral notes on the nose.   Faint mountain shrubbiness too.   Muted floral notes and soft pith on the tongue.   Light to moderate sweetness.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Flavorfull, but a little dull.   Certainly not all that bitter either.   Decent, even if a little dull.   Lingering shrubby notes.

Bottle in Santa Barbara.

Deep golden-orange pour, decent head. In addition to the grapefruit, one really does pick up passionfruit in the aroma. Flavor is dry with a resinous close. I don’t get so much lime as white grapefruit pith. A bit of heat late seems off for the style.

Clean golden amber pour with thin white head. Super hoppy nose, lots of citrus and resinous hop oils. Some garlic and onion notes. Heavy resin and oil character in the flavor. Heavy bitterness on the finish with lots of oil.

Bomber. Bottled 7/6/13. Definitely a citrus bomb. Concentrated, bitter citrus layers, passion fruit, fresh cut grass, sweet onion, hay, sex and cat pee nuances Mild carbonation, medium-medium-plus body, with a fair amount of raw bitterness. Lingering citrus finish, with medium bitterness. Although a little one note, it's a good, complex one note. Solid IPA. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

halfonit (1129) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Color is golden blonde with a decent amount of foamy head. Aroma is of piney citric hops in a west coast fashion that also has a lingering scent of malts in the faint background. The flavor is bitter with a huge bite of citrus such as grapefruit flesh, lemon zest and lime peel while a touch of pine and green herbs. Certainly a heavy hitting beer in terms of IBU’s considering this is only a pale ale style.

22oz bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Good retention and lacing. Citrus, pine, not too malty. I really like this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear light amber with medium white head Aromas hoppy of citrus, caramel Quite nice taste which is well hopped by citrusy fruits, however could have a better maltyness. It has lively csrbonation, medium body and bitterness

A good tasting beer with great color. The flavor doesn’t linger like other IPAs, it’s any easy beer to enjoy.

I like everything I have had from knee deep. This is no exception. I did notice a flatness in it, I think that is from the single hop aspect. It says single hop right in the bottle, so can’t really fault them for that. It is really good compared to most other single ipa’s I have had.

Strong hoppy aroma and very thin pour with a muted hop taste and strong, lingering mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
