Amber color, hazy, with generous head. The aroma is hoppy, with citrusy hints, and some earthy character too. Smooth caramel and toffee flavor, with light biscuity touch; strong bitterness, the quality hops provide a very good citrusy and resiny character. Long final.
Fresh and excellent.

Tap at the Rubicon. Pours clear copper. Cat piss aroma - lots of citrus. Near med body. Flavor is really hoppy citrus with some arguable floral over a mild caramel backbone. It’s very hoppy and very bitter and very very good.

On tap @ Uncle Henry’s Deli. Clear orange colored pour with a white head. Aroma is quite tropical and fruity. Lots of nice pineapple notes. Big grapefruit and orange...a hint of lemon-lime, maybe peaches. Light malt sweetness to the palate. Good pineapple, grapefruit, and orange zest flavors. Sweet peach and a mild lemon-lime soda.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, skunk bud, cat piss, earthiness, pine, light grapefruit, light lemon zest and light tropical fruit. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, skunk bud, earthiness, grapefruit, pine and light lemon zest with a crisp dry bitter lingering dank finish.

660ml bottle - gift from N&A - thanks!
Massively sticky caramelly aroma. Pure sugary syrup. Plenty of fruit too, but the sugar’s the most prominant feature. Mid orange, huge persistent foamy head. Sweet caramelly body, simple fruity hops too - fleshy fruits. Gentle zesty bitterness. Had this a hundred times, snore - a brew devoid of details and smothered in sugar. Later there’s some marmitey yeastiness both in the aroma and taste.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Clear, darkish orange appearance with an off white head. Butterscotch, light orange citrusy hoppy, a bit toasty malty aroma. Damn, this has fallen off. Buttery, bready, toasty malty, tangy, infected flavor. Too bad.

651mL. Pours a clear, deep orange. Weaker foam. Nose is butterscotch, vanilla, rich marzipan, yellow cake. Taste is big butterscotch, orange peel, sugary tea. Thicker, rich. Not really bright or even that Citra forward. Just a nice, juicy malt backbone. Perhaps not so fresh. Still, yummy.

bottle. filtered gold with medium-sized white bubbles with low retention. first whiff is something around garlic / shallots / onions with the requisite dried herbs, resin and pine sap. a short time into it the malt begins to show through the powerful hop smell: toasted grains, buttered biscuits and peanut shells. commercial description mentions passion fruit and grapefruit, neither of which I get in any sense; lime in there somewhere, but comes across more like lime leaves and citronella oil than lime juice. texture is somewhat gummy though the body is thin (or medium thin). always interesting to try a single hop pale ale to add to what I know of citra hops, but the hamster pellets, alfalfa seeds, peanuts and sunflower seed note grows to unpleasant levels.

Bottle. Pours with a completely clear golden hued body with a huge white head. Aromas are of huge tropical fruit up front. Nice hop character, very sweet smelling, candied citrus, tamarind, and STRONG diacetyl. Flavors are all diacetyl and it gets much worse as it warms. Tons of butterscotch, grassy. Nice and dank, tropical fruit hop notes behind the butter. Medium to fuller carbonation, medium bubbles. Dry. Hard to get past the diacetyl. Good hop flavor though. Would be rated a lot higher with out the diacetyl!
