3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep orange with a white head that dissapates quickly. Aroma is grapefruit and bready yeast. Taste is grapefruit like citrus and piney resins from the Citra hops that make this an outstanding hoppy pale, almost more of an IPA. The finish is long, smooth, bitter and makes you want more if your a hop head!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Lucky’s Market. Deep orange pour. Aroma of fresh hop, citrus peel, grass. Tastes are toffee malt, biscuity, good citrus balance - grapefruit, orange peel. Moderately bitter in the finish. Medium palate. Well constructed.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Slightly cloudy with medium carbonation. Toasted gold color. Aroma of wet grass, toasted biscuit and lemon rind, kind of lackluster. Juicy lemon and grapefruit flavors finish very clean, an easy tell to the single hop profile throughout. A simple beer. Mild sweetness lasting bitterness. Malt earthiness is restrained, I would definitely put this as a pale ale vs. IPA. Very tasty, but it makes me appreciate dry-hopping IPAs with multiple varieties that much more. I bet if you can get this super fresh, it’s amazing. This bottle seems to have fallen off.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at brewery. Strong danky and tropical notes in the nose. Lots of citrus and pine. Pour is a clear orange, with a white head that laces well. Taste is danky and earthy with tropical notes. Very good beer!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, tropical fruit, light grapefruit, and caramel. It pours a transparent copper with a three finger orange tinted off-white head that has great retention and leaves behind thick soapy rings on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel. Tropical fruits follow in the middle before giving way to light-moderate grapefruit and a touch of pine in the finish. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Overall, I think "Extra Pale Ale" is a pretty good description as opposed to the style label of IPA. There’s too much caramel maltiness for an IPA and the abv is too high for a Pale Ale. While I love citra hops, I’m surprised that the malty caramel flavors work for me here.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly cloudy golden color with usual head and body. I like Citra hops, but appreciate the brewer’s skill in blending hops rather than sticking with a single variety.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh)
Pours a pale amber with little white head. True to its name, the aroma features a nice citrus component. Fresh and crisp flavor.
I can picture camping out at the beach with a few of these and having a pretty nice day.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle bought at Champanes,
this ale had a light colored muted orange and brown pour and gave a fluffy faint off-white head that eventually lowered to a layer and ring, it left nice spots and rings of lacing on the side of the glass and there was no sediment in the bottle,
the nose had aromas of grass and grapefruit citrus hops, the hops had a touch of pine to them, bread and toasted malt with a little bread sweetness in the background,
the drink had flavors of citrus and fruit hops with light toasted malt and bread with some bread like sweetness,
the finish had a good hop bitterness that lingered on the tongue with some malt flavor following,
the mouth feel was creamy and light with average carbonation,
a light beer with lots of citrus hops and light malt notes, a very nice drink.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours from the bomber into a clear red orange fog color with a bright white thin head. A slight citrus hop aroma with a slight rubbing alcohol note. It does bring the citrus right upfront. A light body with just a hint of alcohol strength in the end. A soft feel with a dry finish. A drinkable brew. As it warms it becomes way more citrus based and I think actually gets better. With that kind of name I was expecting better. But still good stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 4/28/2014. Pours crystal clear deep orange amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate caramel/bready malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, bread, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of citrus/tropical hops and moderate caramel/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, lightly creamy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice citra pale ale. All around good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate caramel/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
