4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bottle from Whole Foods Santa Barbara. 7% ABV. Wow 7% for a pale ale,Not sure of the diff between extra pale ale and IPA, but this really borders on an very clean IPA. Absolutely delicious. crystal clear hop taste with very little malt. all citrus. I love this. But why does the reviewer below me have to hate on Christians?

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour to teku, impeccably clear bright-gold pour with erupting head (on account of a slightly inebriated pour). Nose is brightly juicy, slightly floral, biscuity malt. Flavor is clean, honey, colorful citrus juice, finish is very forgiving and sweet. Not as vibrant as I remember, or as many of their other brews, but a nice sessionable offering from these guys. Clocking in at a modest 45 IBU, it’s certainly not a hop-blasted assault, but retains enough balance and clarity worth appreciating.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, grass, mild caramely notes and toffee. Taste is malty, citrusy and grassy with hints of pine and resin. Finish is sweetish, malty and citrusy with some caramel and grass. Okay, but a bit of a disappointment from Knee Deep. These guys can do better.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint at spirits pub & grub, Cary. Good aroma, sweet. Citrus. On the grapefruit lemon side of things. Clean orange gold color, ok head and lace. Bitter sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. It’s good, as long as you like a big citrus beer, and I do.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber via crossroads. Pours out a nice mostly clear copper color with a pillow white head. Aroma is of nice citra hops, that juicy lightly tropical, citrusy stuff. Light caramel and a little grain. Taste is a nice showcase of the hop without get no punched with ibu’s which I usually like but in this case it is okay. Some light grainy malt and some bread round this out and a slight lingering bitterness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow-Downtown, 8/21/15
Aroma: The nose is citrus hops, some earthy notes, and a bit of caramel
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear orange color with a frothy-foam head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is on the hoppy side, but not super bitter, citrusy and clean overall
Palate: The feel is fairly clean, with a light-medium body, and a mid-dry finish
I’ve had a couple of Knee Deep beers where I felt like the hops were a little stake testing, and I couldn’t tell if that was the beer or the store not watching their inventory (I’m looking at you every store on Long Island). Anyway, this treated much fresher. If this is what Knee Deep beers are usually like, I am intrigued.

On tap at Apex, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma and flavour brings out notes of citrus, biscuity malt, and floral notes. Really well-balanced, dry and flavourful. Excellent.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
65cl bottle, served in tulip glass. Pours golden with one finger of froth on top. Citrusy aroma, orange peel and hints of mango. Same taste, actually the citrusy flavour is not dominant at all. Bitter and caramel-ish aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light/medium-sticky, carbonation is ok. Nice refreshing beer.
