Fantastic, lush tropical and citrus aroma. Slight grain offers nice support. Very hazy golden-light orange with full white head that collects and patterns down the glass nicely. Taste is freshly squeezed citrus juice, bubblegum and overt pine. Moderate high bitterness.

Super hoppy with just the right amount of malts. Tropical aromas. Flavor is tropical and a bit of pine. Awesome brew.

"One of several huge IPAs had over the 1st Sac beer weekend, and one of the best. Ridiculous amunts of hop oils balanced by a sweet fruity and floral aroma and flavor. Bitter, but never too much. Great body. Not quite my KD favorite (still Simtra) but definitely a hop head’s delight."

Almost indistinguishable in appearance from my parents’ coors light, though it is a bit deeper gold. Spruce, floral notes, some cat piss. Pretty smooth drinker, almost sweet but tempered by alcohol and bitterness. Flavor doesn’t quite come together and leaves a sticky, cotton mouth after taste. A noble attempt.

>> Thanks DedicatedToFun. Clear golden pour, thick rocky foam. Sticky overripe mango nose, stanky. Taste is rich, extremely boozy, salty, cantaloupe, vodka soaked yellow fruit. Not bad, solid for 4xIPA.Though could only muster a few sips.

On tap at Capitol Beer &Tap Room. Pours blonde with a thick off-white head and a toffee and citrus aroma. There is a sweet caramel malt flavor with lots of carbonation and a fairly bitter finish. A little too sweet with too much alcohol burn.
Earlier Rating: 4/12/2013 Total Score: 3.8
On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours orange copper with a modest beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a thick almost syrupy caramel malt flavor with a carbonated bitter finish. Tastes like a hopped up barleywine. Whatever, it’s really good.

Draft at brewery. Strong skunky and earthy hop nose. Taste is sweet and has a residual sugar flavor that tastes like table sugar, or like a palm honey. Very weird. maybe it could be toned down a bit, or maybe the yeast quit before it attenuated enough.

Tap at the Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma is rather dank. Full bodied. Dankly hoppy flavor. A bit heavy on caramel, but it’s necessary to hold all the hop. Finishes crazy hoppy. Excellent.
Earlier Rating: 4/29/2013 Total Score: 4.2
Tap - 12.4% - at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours copper with a creamy white head. Aroma is citrus/fruity. Full bodied. Flavor is some brown sugar with a lot of citrus/fruit hop. Finishing on the non-dry side. It might pass as a highly hopped barley wine. Exquisite.
