light amber color; citrusy, hebal hop aroma; lots of grassy, citrusy, resiny pine hops on a fairly sweet, caramel malt base; this is a big beer for sure, weighing in at 13.1% abv

Aromas of vanilla, lemon, citrus, big dankness, pines, caramel, crisp malts, tangerine, herbs, slight buttery hops, toffee, nuts and honey. Appears a brighter golden copper than most quad IPAís Iíve had with a thin white foam. Taste is an instant pop of serious citrus, tangerine, apricot, grapefruit, tropical fruits, guava, stone fruit, peach and lemon. Mid palate there does come a noticeable sweetness with honey, sticky caramel, toffee, amber malts and crackers. Finishes incredibly boozy leaving a dry, bitter, hoppy, piney, resinous aftertaste. Overall, this is fantastic. Itís got a sweet honey overtone but ends super dry with a magnificent hop profile. The malts and the hops work in perfect harmony. Iím very impressed.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2015 Split bomber, snifters. Clean, light gold color. Pungent nose, hints of sweat socks. Bitter, bitter beer with some sweet character if that makes sense. Definitely a sipper.

On tap at Moor Patís. Over the top big bitter hops. Palate erasing, this one is a sipper. Cloudy orange.

Aroma is malts, hops. Grapefruit. Taste is hops, grapefruit, orange and pine. Alcohol hidden but can be tasted on back end. Almost to strong but still built well. Taking it back to 9-10% would be great.

Draft a the growler NYC. Pours a tan bronze color. Extremely hoppy and boozy with a Puckery aftertaste. Sweeter then hoppy. Eh

APPEARANCE - 1-finger head that dissipates. Light, clear. Tons of lacing. AROMA/SCENT - Hops, fruit, sweet. TASTE - Hops, pine. ABV unbelievably well-hidden. MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Good carbonation, dry, lingering, light, effervescent, crisp, acidic, refreshing. VALUE - $12 for a 10-oz glass. Pricey for domestic draft. OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - This is the first Quadrupel Imperial IPA Iíve tasted. Yet another hophead masterpiece from Knee Deep.

4oz pour at Rattle and Hum NY. Dark amber color, full sized white head and good lacing. Aroma and taste are malts, yeast, orangepeel, slightly herbs or spices, sweet-bitter. Medium body, subtle carbonation.

Caramel apple on nose, strawberry melon liquor with a alcohol induced malty backbone, syrupy, but, paired well with spicy Thai foodí reminds me of founders dissenter!? Might be good aged in barrel!?

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and summer fruit aroma. Grapefruit and tropical fruit flavor with light malt. Medium-plus bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit lingers with light sweet caramel and grapefruit.
