The cousin of Simtra, but brewed with only Centennial and Chinook hops. Need we say more?

Nice head retention. You can tell it's going to be hoppy from the nose. Definitely a triple ipa, powerful hop taste, a little too much alcohol on the palate, although you can expect that with 11.3%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle. Very clear gold color with a small, brief, off-white head. Aroma is pine and light citrus that's not overly intense. Medium bitter, light body. Long, unpleasant finish. Overpowered by a perfumy, almost metallic taste. At first I thought it was the alcohol coming through. Disappointing to say the least. I would not drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of tangeine, bread, tropical fruit, pink grapefuit and light mint. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit, pine and light orange zest with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

22 oz bottle. Hazy olive orange with a bone head. Nose is orange, caramel and roses with a hint of pine. Thick and resiny with prickly carb. Hugely bitter grapefruit and orange peel, brief sweet apple, finishing with pine needles. Super hoppy with just enough malt to keep me craving another sip.

22oz bottle pours clear copper. Carmel and hop aroma. Might be a bit dated not much citrus or pine like most west coast triples.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. First off, this is a barley wine, not an IIPA, imo. Pours a clear gold with a sticky white head. Nose is super resiny, pine forward, faint citrus and ethanol. Sweetness in the nose. On tasting, clean alcohol and a big and clean bitterness. Resiny with some sticky malt but a drying finish. Too much alcohol overall.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of a lot of citrusy and piney hops, some spiciness, dough, and caramel malts. Some off notes in the flavor, not sure what, but it takes away from the hoppiness. Smooth texture. A decent beer, but something weird about it prevents it from being as good as it could be.

Pours a copper gold with a slight white head that dissipates quickly. Little to no lacing. Strong grapefruit aroma hop front followed by grassy and herbal hops. Lots of resin in the flavor with very little hop character, kind of syrupy texture at the end. Disappointing.

22 oz bottle shared by ???. Thanks. Pours a copper glowing hue, healthy glow, no real haze. A frothy offwhite head atop dies to a filmy layer and laces small. Aromas are a bit more vibrant, citrusy grapefruit, florals, and gentle pine kiss the nose with some bready and grainy malt base play. A touch sweet, the grapefruit is enjoyable, fairly fresh. Initial is firmly bodied, offering a bit of sweetness. Firm citrusy grapefruit, lemony hop profile with grass, florals, and a firm bitterness. Gentle pine. Middle shows some sweeter malts, a bit of caramel and gentle fruit. Backend dries it back up again, a bit resiny and dry, firm hop trail. This didn’t have as adventerous of hops, but seemed to not have the issues that plagued regular Simtra we were trying. Solid offering here.
