The cousin of Simtra, but brewed with only Centennial and Chinook hops. Need we say more?

22 oz bottle shared by ???. Thanks. Pours a copper glowing hue, healthy glow, no real haze. A frothy offwhite head atop dies to a filmy layer and laces small. Aromas are a bit more vibrant, citrusy grapefruit, florals, and gentle pine kiss the nose with some bready and grainy malt base play. A touch sweet, the grapefruit is enjoyable, fairly fresh. Initial is firmly bodied, offering a bit of sweetness. Firm citrusy grapefruit, lemony hop profile with grass, florals, and a firm bitterness. Gentle pine. Middle shows some sweeter malts, a bit of caramel and gentle fruit. Backend dries it back up again, a bit resiny and dry, firm hop trail. This didn’t have as adventerous of hops, but seemed to not have the issues that plagued regular Simtra we were trying. Solid offering here.

Bottle - Huge pine nose with some sweetness and citrus. C;ear orange with a thick white head. Lots of cirtus and pine, some alcohol heat, but a nice sweetness to balance. Rich on the palate, without a annoying cloying finish. Just really nice.

Bottle. Expected more. Pours a nice clear copper color with a nice thick frothy cream head. Nose is dry grassy and lightly floral hops with a hint of resin. Palate is a wrecker. Starts off stingy, turns to a heavy coating, leaves mouth sticky and dry. Flavors of light alcohol, dry grainy notes, resiny and grassy hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle from Arizona. Clear golden amber with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine resin, caramel and solvent. Flavor is lots of alcohol and phenols with some caramel malt and firm hop bitterness. Medium body with a syrupy mouth feel. This one is just ok, lots of alcohol and phenols.

22oz bottle pours a clear orange with some cloudy white head. Nose is musty, pine, orange, lemon rind, soap, floral. Flavor has more bitterness, more than the nose would hint, orange pith, lemon, heavy soap. Full, bracingly bitter finish. Not my favorite from Knee Deep.

22 oz. bottle from Total Wine (Park Place) - Pours a clear amber color with a 1/2 finger thick light tan head. Decent lacing. Aroma is pungent hops (lots of pine and resin). Flavor is pine, citrus, and floral hops. Initially, this beer was quite bitter. It became fairly smooth as I drank it. Medium to full body. A good beer.

Bottle thanks to Brian! Pours a clear amber with a gray head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a good amount of grassy hops with a bit of sweet grains. Flavor begins with sweet grains with a growing grass note and a hint of resiny citrus.

Bright 24 karat pour with a small eggshell head. Nose of papaya, mango, dusty hay, pepper and pine. Flavor not as assertive or pleasant as the aroma. More caramel and malt than expected. Fairly spicy and floral with the alcohol showing quite a bit. A good but not great IIPA...appreciated Simtra more.

22oz bottle-shared by jtclockwork-aggressive pour gives a nice rice/foamy offwhite head-gold. A-tropical/perfumy, 2nd sweet lt/med malt-caramel. T-tropical/perfumy hops. Finish is cologne and long, then metallic. Stopped after 10oz so I wouldn’t drop the score further. 3.0
