The cousin of Simtra, but brewed with only Centennial and Chinook hops. Need we say more?

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with white head. Nose is fantastic - lots of mango, tropical fruits and caramel malt with hints of perfumy hops. Taste is not good at all. Tons of cologne and perfume with some tiny semblance of IPA somewhere. Almost straight up cologne in the finish. Really disappointing. Body on the lighter side of medium for a triple IPA. If it wasn’t for the nose this would be closer to a 2.1-2.2 rating.

Bottle. Pours out a mostly clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of astringent hop oils, sweet/bitter fruit, Pine sap, some floral notes, and alcohol burn. Taste is a sharp dose of acidic, piney, resin hops, lots of bitterness, some light tangerine, evergreen, some mild sweet malt, and a moderate alcohol note. This is a big, bitter beer.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Citrus and pine. Nice and hoppy with the alcohol content well hidden.

650 ml bottle purchased at Redstone Liquors, Andover location. Nose is much like the Lupulin River, big pine with light traces of fruit. This has a some dankness that I didn’t find in Lupulin River.

The texture on this has some hop oils with a slick texture over the tongue. The booze shows itself and it makes itself known. Which is why I prefer Lupulin River much more. Booze is lightly distracting. Still the fruit pine and sweet malts give this a certain level of drinkability.

Peachy Orange looks. It’s very juicy IPA, smooth, fruity and sweet. The nose is strong, almost barley winey. Smooth, light and almost tropical in the mouth. Very little bitterness, which is astounding considering the advertised 133IBU.

Lots of chinook. Generally a hop I avoid, in this case not so bad. The Centennial adds some nice floral citrus contrast in both the aroma and flavor. A touch boozy but still easy to drink for the monster ABV.

Tap at Apex. A: Cloudy gold color, thin white head. N: Grapefruit, mango, pineapple, biscuit, pine, orange peel, fruit loops, and plenty of residual sugars. T: Very sweet and fruity; not at all bitter. M: Alcohol heat, resinous heavy body, soft carbonation. O: A fruit bomb. Easy to drink without PtY’s scraping bitterness. A different beast for sure, but one I might choose for my palate over the more famous IIIPA.

On tap at apex. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A big sweet fruity resin hop nose. The flavor is big resin, oranges, sugary sweet, pine. Huge. Hot. Gin alcohol burn. Good.

Bright clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Nose of pine and resin. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Light malt base with equally light sweetness. Big hop spice. Resinous orange, marmalade, mild lemon. More hop spice. Touch of crystallised fruits. More hops spice. Tropical fruits emerge. More hop spice. Light hop skunk before light and hop spicy finish. Spicy tangerine linger. It’s a real gob full of spicy hop goodness but it always stays light and supremely drinkable. Hides the abv very well. Excellent.

650ml bottle

Pours dark orange with a foamy head. Aroma of chewy caramely malts, loads of dank wet herbal hops, resin, grass and toffee. Taste is juicy, hoppy and dank wet herbal with loads of resin, grass, malts, caramel and pine. Finish is massively hoppy and resinous with some grass, pine and herbal notes. Quite hoppy.

65 cl bottle @ hotel room, Los Angeles.
Pours clear copper color with a large head. Awesome hoppy aroma, resin, caramel sweetness, just dank. A bit juicy flavor, pineapple, oranges, mango, caramel malt, resin and faint piney tones. Quite balanced and very tasty.
