The cousin of Simtra, but brewed with only Centennial and Chinook hops. Need we say more?

From a bottle at THE LOCAL Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. Pours a rich gold with a good sized beige head and light lacing. Nose a a very powerful citrus and pine. Medium plus body with resin mouthfeel. The flavor is light malts with a lot of taste mostly of pine and citrus hops. Good bitterness. The finish is long, dry, and bitter. This is a true hop monster. Loved it. .

A hazy orange beer with off-white foam. Pine and citrus with caramel accents. The body is more of a medium and the carbonation is just right. Definitely not the full review. Oh no...

"Agreed. Big pine, herbal and citrus notes in the flavor and aroma. Medium to full bodied as a little sticky. More than adequately bitter. Good stuff fresh..."

From bomber to tulip. Have tried this a couple of times and I don’t think this holds up to their other beers. A little too much on the maltiness, syrupy, and bitterness. Of course that is expected from a triple, but it could still balance better. Lots of pine and resin is nice.

Tap @ Jernigan’s. Another singing blast of bitter and booze, yet a bit lighter all around that Hoparillo. Still a fantastic TIPA, but I’ll take the other option for more intensity.

Draft at brewery. Lots of sugar and a citrus/orange aroma in the nose. Flavor is pretty much identical, moderately sweet with a bit of alcohol noted. ok, but I like Simtra better I think.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a clear light gold color with a white head. The aroma has bright lemon and orange with hints of tropical fruit and florals. The flavor is spicy, fruity and floral with touches orange oil cleaner and malt. The body is full and oily on the palate. The finish has strong, but not oppressive bitterness and noticeable alcohol. Similar to Simtra in it’s brutish assault, but overall pretty enjoyable.

Thanks to jimiantz for this. Pours hazy reddish gold with a small white foamy top and good lacing. Reader beware, I am drinking this past an "acceptable" age for a DIPA. Hops are still very prevalent in this. Aroma is a wall of centennial pine and quite dank. Taste is again a blast of hops, thick and resinous. I could only imagine this fresh, it would blow your mind. Obvious overage on the hop bitterness but still tons of sweet malt and caramel that tries to accomodate for the intense hop additions. Solid beer.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of orange, lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit, and mango. Flavor of caramel, toffee, orange, and pine with a dry, moderately bitter finish.

22oz bottle. Tulip glass. Not my favorite. Honeydew aroma, cloudy bronze pour, very little dingy head. Black pepper, grass and honey on the tongue. Biting boozy bitterness makes you think long and hard before taking another sip. Probably won't finish the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
