3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beer pours with a nice white head above a golden colored liquid that has a tinge of reddish when it is not being held up to the light. Aroma is too light for my taste but a funky dank smell is somewhat apparent. Taste is not very complex but is instead balanced with alcohol and some decent malts. I think if the alcohol contributed more flavor it might actually balance this beer out more. The hops seem a bit "Mono-hopmatic". Overall it is a decent beer but with regards to he other triple ipa’s I have had this one simply does not hold a candle.

Poured from the bomber into a snifter. Orange pour with a cream colored head. Aroma has some light grainy malt followed by mostly floral hops. Flavor is similar with some caramel malt sweetness at the start followed by a big dose of hops. There's some citrusy notes in the background but a lot of pepperiness and some piney notes towards the finish. Medium bodied with a long spicy finish. Hoppy for sure, but really surprisingly balanced and very drinkable for the ABV. Really good brew as I've come to expect from Knee Deep.

On tap at ABV Pub in Hillsboro, OR. HUGE orange citrus aroma. My wife hates beer, but she was with me the night I first tried this. It smelled so good, I asked her just to smell it. She liked it so much she took a sip, wrinkled up her nose, and declared it the most vile thing she had ever tried. It is very bitter at first but on adjusting to it, it tastes of orange candy and citrus. Medium mouthfeel and bitter finish. Full-flavored and quite delicious. Only for the committed hophead.

Bomber I bought online .. . Pours a deep amber.. Great foam .. The mouth is a bit lacking for this type of beer .. . Resin, fruit skin, grass, and more dirty resin .. Pretty good, the hops do make this a share type beer .. . . Where’s my salted roll?

Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Some haze in this honey golden beer. A three finger off white head leaves nice lacing. The aroma is full of tropical and citrus fruit but is also distinct. First sip screams monster ABV. Huge fruit flavors and pale malts that almost match up. Very little bitterness. Midway through the hops gains some freshness as in dry hopping. On each sip I suck in fruit on the intake of breath and then taste even more. And that fruit is pretty darned tasty. The finish is really hot. So much alcohol and it ended like a high gravity bomb, but a really fruity one. Wow. What an experience.

On tap at PreFunk Boise clear light Orange Amber with just a scant off white head. Decent tropical fruity hop flavors, clean and strong. Finishes well. The 11% is a bit surprising.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Malty-resinous nose with some butterscotch and alcohol hotness. Bitter with a backbone of malty sweetness. Full creamy-oily body and a bitter finish. Lacks noble hop flavor and the complexity I’d want to see in a beer of this strength. To be fair, this was bottled 9.7.14 and I’m drinking it 2.7.15, so some of the best hop flavor might have faded. Nevertheless, an enjoyable imperial IPA.
