4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from the bomber into a snifter glass. Medium amber color with a thin cream colored head. Aroma has some caramel malt notes with a big dose of hops and some orange. Very fresh wet hop smell with floral and resinous notes. Flavor has some sweet malty notes, but quickly gives way to a huge dose of hops with some light peppery notes. Mouthfeel is thinner than I would have expected, but it just makes it that much easier to drink! This definitely has some bitterness, but it is actually incredible drinkable considering the ABV and IBU. Overall this is quite delicious!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the rye house NYC. Pours a bright copper color with no head. If a stereotypical overt hopped west coast beer needed and example this would be one of them. Good if you like the style but needs to be sipped

Bomber, couple of weeks old. Bright clear gold. Stunning juicy mango and tangerine aroma, light floral notes in there and just a hint of that big ABV. Taste gives mango, melon, tangerine and more pithy grapefruit. Some more perfumey notes get in there. Biscuit malt, impressively light presence letting hops sing. Booze well integrated, you can tell it's there but it isn't harsh. Pine needles come out towards the end, blending with the sweet tropical notes which linger. Amazing - my kind of hop forward beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of heavy citrus hops, candied oranges, caramel, and a touch of pine and herbal notes. It pours a transparent copper with a one finger white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thick soapy ring. There is some thin soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with sweet citrus/orange and caramel. The finish has moderate pine, grapefruit, and some light toasty nights. It’s medium-full bodied with soft carbonation and a somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Overall, it’s solid...but there’s too much caramel for my IIPA preferences.

Amazing aromas. Well Citra, Amarillo and Mosaic what else to expect. Crystal clear with white head. It starts with sweet alcohol hop flavor. Not enough hop to balance the big beer. Exceptional overall

Kicking back on a gorgeous fall afternoon, and this is the perfect beer for it. Big and bold in all categories, rich and powerful. Tasty, smooth with a kick. Pleasant alcohol burn from start to finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Date on bottle reads 08/11/14. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head, dot or two of lace. Medium to bigger body. Feels lighter than 11%. Lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Moderate sweet taste, some bigger bready malty caramel character, but great big amarillo hop to back it up, too. Piney, kind of spicy, mild citrus (orange peel), moderate bitter, less bitter than you’d expect. Alcohol hides very well, way too easy drinking, good sweet malt balance helps with that I think.
