3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On Tap at Growler Guys Meridian. Clear golden thin but sturdy and lasting off white had and lacing. Big up front piney hop aroma. Big time hop vehicle but a full malt body to carry it. Lingering IBU burn and the 11+% will get to you. Well done.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sharp and green floral hop aromas mixed with a sweet malt come from this clear pale orangy brew. Sweet hop flavor and moderate carb come from this full bodied beer. The hop flavor turns to bitterness and lingers followed by the warming of 11.1%. Well balanced great taste.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: really hoppy attack, fresh grassy hops. Caramel notes. Very intensive hops and resin finish. Taste: full body with caramel, pine and resin balanced with grassy notes and fresh hops. Good attenuation, alcohol finish. Astringent. Aftertaste: resin and pine with high bitterness. Quiet drinkable for the style. I appreciate it!

Brilliant US hops, the nose is full of pine forest and oily rich. Drinks so smoothly because of well used malt characters. Toasted bread and caramel works well with the abundant hops. Fantastic!!

Light haze on this gold - amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light, all things considered, it’s semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Smooth rich malts, nice creamy sweetness. Hops are orange, spicy orange and marmalade. Good does of pine. Mild hop spice and jammy tropical fruits. More spice and pine on the smooth semi dry finish. Lacks a bit of brightness of the very best but this is an incredibly drinkable DIPA and it hides the abv very well indeed. Certainly felt it when the whole bottle was gone!

How have I never had this? Delicious. A little bit strong alcohol. Otherwise, nice hop aroma of citrus. But the grain starts to come through. Maybe just not really balanced well. Leaves a nice sticky hop finish.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, honey, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible big imperial IPA! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV. This was extremely well attenuated and dry for the ABV on malt sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle bought at City Beer in March 2016.
A bit hazy golden with a white head. A lot of fresh hops in the aroma and taste. Pineapple, orange, hints of malt and caramel. Nicely bitter and balanced. A really tasty one.

@ Basunen 16-4-16: Stor trevlig doft av humle och stor ton av frukt som apelsin och ananas. Mycket trevlig. Riktig gott.
