Wow. Holy grapefruit batman! Zoinks! I’m liking it, but no one is accusing this of being balanced. Like a ruby red grapefruit. Delicious. Trying to come up with other deScriptors but there really aren’t any worth mentioning other than delicious grapefruit.

Aroma is resinous hops with a fair share of pineoil. Taste is deep malts with loads of citrus peels and a sticky mouthfeel. Lovely bittersweet ending.

Bottle at Brewerkz Singapore. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, floral hops, resin, pine and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, floral hops, resin and pine. Very nice imperial IPA, although pretty plain in terms of aroma.

Pours hazy golden with persistent frothy white lacing. Aroma of honey, pine, white grape, very fruity. Taste is sweet with medium and lingering bitterness. Alcohol is present but well inserted. Sticky, soft carbonated, medium-full-bodied. A great brew.

Bottle from Whole Foods SoMa, San Francisco
Hazy golden color with medium sized head. Nice malty aroma of malts, a bit biscuity. Lean body, moderate sweetness, nice malt job, before an exaggerated hopping comes in, with plenty of oranges, some mango, very fruity, and resiny.

11.1%ABV. Triple IPA. Tapped out a clear amber. 8ºSRM. Nose has ripe pineapple and fresh pine. Some nice fresh citrus freshness rounds out the nose nicely, painting a very balanced aromatic pallete. There is a nice grapefruit like nose that is balanced very interestingly against the alcholic sweetness of the brew to produce an aroma like candied citrus. Mouthfeel is soapy. There is a breadth of roasted malty flavors that run the gamut from graham cracker to walnuts and deeply-browned barley toast The finish is a lot loss bitter and more truncated than the Simtra. The finish is medium-long with nice herbaceous freshness on the palate. So it does cling a little, but in a so very comforting and good way. A very craftily put together number in an ambitious triple IPA. The pair deserve a nod, th Hoparillo and the Simtra. At the end of the day, an interesting experiment pitting the Amarillo hop against an 11.1%ABV. Goes on Favorites List!

Hazy orange, small off white head. Aroma citrus and tropical fruits, background of pine. Medium full body, alcohol pretty well hidden. Flavor similar to aroma, good mix of bitter and sweet leaning more towards the bitter side but harmonious. A solid effort.

Bomber from GM Liquors. Nose is light resin, big mango, pineapple, and papaya. Fairly clear orange tinged yellow with a medium lightly lacing off white head. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, and lots of fruitiness.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at the OBX on Thanksgiving. Pours a hazy orange gold with an off white head. Citrus aroma. Flavors of orange, grapefruit and pineapple with a bit of toffee. Juicy and tasty, with a bitter finish.
