3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This gold beer has an amazing grapefruit aroma. It hits your tongue really strong but finishes smooth and mild. Can't tell its 11%.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Enzoís BBQ in Oceanside, CA. Pours a rich orange gold with a thin but dense white head that leaves good lacing on the tulip glass. Aroma is big orange, floral and grapefruit hops and a huge caramel malt backbone with some alcohol in the back. Taste is candied orange/tangerines, sweet malts and alcohol, but the alcohol isnít overwhelming for an 11.3%abv 3x IPA. Palate is surprisingly refreshing and not sticky for such a big beer. Another well done IPA from Knee Deep.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Salted Pig. Complete sheets of lace on a clear orange. Super sticky nose. Sweet IPA overall, but not cheesy and dusty. Butterscotch candy with pine needles. Heavy pine finish. Rich, mild nut and tannic dryness and harsh bitterness. Still drinkable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It is great for its kick, 11% goes down so easy. It is a slightly cloudy amber. There are nice floral hops on the nose. THere is a sticky hop front to the taste that fades to a bitter-sweet hop finish that stais the palate and fades slowly.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Haven Gastropub. Light amber sort of color with a white head. The nose is incredibly sweet. Sugar, caramel, and some pineapple. Decent orange and grapefruit on the nose. Pine and some booze, too. The flavor is nicely citrusy, but despite the grapefruit and orange notes, just too much caramel and brown sugar. Some bitterness and alcohol on the finish. Not bad as a barleywine, but wasnít what I was expecting from a Double IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Haven. Pours a deep orange with small white head. Aroma is slight sticky grapefruit and pine. Taste is heavy mouth feel with a log of sweetness that isnít made up for with a ton of bitterness. Mostly just a malt bomb with some hops. Imperial American Barleywine. Which if that was what it was labeled would make it rad for the style.

On tap at Ale Arsenal. Citrus aroma pronounced with bready background. Hazy copper with off-white head clinging to the glass. Citrus dominates flavor and pronounced bitterness. Some chewy yeast and semi-dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is fruity and citrus. Med body. Flavor is fruity and suddenly that citrus that is almost like pine. Lots and lots of hop. Itís a bit sweet, but thereís enough hop to solve that. Extremely tasty.
