3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear pale amber color with a medium ivory white head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Full-bodied with a resiny hops character and flavors of grapefruit and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering piney hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle. Bottled 02/20/15. (El Cerrito Liquors) Corona, CA.
Clear golden colour with a tiny off-white head.
Orange, citrus, pine, strong bitterness and strong sweet maltiness in the aroma. This smells fresh. The flavour is strong... strong bitterness, piney, resiny and citrusy hops, sugary sweetness, syrup and mild maltiness. Strong indeed. Mild notes of 11.1% but well hidden I have to say. Not a bad one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Date on bottle reads 08/11/14. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head, dot or two of lace. Medium to bigger body. Feels lighter than 11%. Lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Moderate sweet taste, some bigger bready malty caramel character, but great big amarillo hop to back it up, too. Piney, kind of spicy, mild citrus (orange peel), moderate bitter, less bitter than you’d expect. Alcohol hides very well, way too easy drinking, good sweet malt balance helps with that I think.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Salted Pig. Complete sheets of lace on a clear orange. Super sticky nose. Sweet IPA overall, but not cheesy and dusty. Butterscotch candy with pine needles. Heavy pine finish. Rich, mild nut and tannic dryness and harsh bitterness. Still drinkable.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber from Whole Foods and Capone’s, and my cherry popper for this brewer. Pours clear golden with fluffy, 3-finger, white head that provides spare lacing. Nose is intense, huge piney hops, pineapple, honeydew, mango, white pepper. Tastes rich, very hoppy, with big notes of resin, pine, pineapple, mango, tangerine, melon, and white pepper. A bit hot late. Very complex and juicy. This one is a hop lover’s wet dream.

"Simtra may have some conpetition as KD’s best beer, and that is saying something. Big. pungent aroma of hop oils...citrus and tropical fruit and a whole lot of cat peed on my christmas tree. not quite the enamel eater in the mouth as the nose would have you believe, but almost. fantastic hop head’s delight."

bomber. Nose of peach, amarillo, orange, honey, biscuits. Orange-gold color. Flavors of pine, orange, peach, honey, a touch of caramel. Nice, bit a bit too sweet and boozy. doesn’t touch the Simtra.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours amber with a nice beige head and a very light floral aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor that quickly goes from sweet to very bitter.
