22oz bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Date on bottle reads 08/11/14. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head, dot or two of lace. Medium to bigger body. Feels lighter than 11%. Lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Moderate sweet taste, some bigger bready malty caramel character, but great big amarillo hop to back it up, too. Piney, kind of spicy, mild citrus (orange peel), moderate bitter, less bitter than you’d expect. Alcohol hides very well, way too easy drinking, good sweet malt balance helps with that I think.

22oz bomber pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a weak light tan head. The aroma offers up big resiny sticky smelling notes filled in by plenty of hop sweet citrusy and pine aromas and booze. The hops are largely pine like and bitter citrus trudging along in a pond of thick sticky maltiness. The taste is smooth and slick and sweet and resiny and syrupy sticky resiny hoppy stickiness, wow! There’s big bold pine and tangelo and pineapple and alcohol. Goodness. This is a sipper. It starts with modest citrus hop flavor and thick malts and then runs directly into booze, citrus hop and pine hop resiny bitterness and then sticky sweet malts. Git all messed up drinkin’ a 22 of this.

65 cl bottle.
Pours clear golden color with a small head. Some kind of fruity aroma, too sweet. Flavor follows the same lines. Sweet and not tasty. Not my thing.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Big summer fruit and grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and caramel flavor with pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness.Caramel and earth lingers with grapefruit, summer fruit, and pine. Seems a bit muddled.

On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours amber with a nice beige head and a very light floral aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor that quickly goes from sweet to very bitter.

650 ml bottle. Pours a golden colour with a small head. Aroma of orange sweetness, rich herbal notes, floral hops and citrus. Rich flavour of herbal hoppiness, floral notes, orange sweetness, grass, rich citrusy notes and some sweetness. Full bodied. Thick mouthfeel. Alcohol warms nicely. Really pleasant lingering bitter, sweet, juicy fruity finish. Great stuff.

65 cl bottle @ tiong. Bottled(?) 09.02.?
Aroma has strong citras notes with caramel and citrus. Also some sweet malty tones and caramel.Flavour has very strong boozy tones, fruits, caramel and hoppy tones, Burning alcohol too. Not sure what to think of this, but booze comes through too much anyway. Also too much glue here at the second glass.

draft at Blue Monk, Buffalo NY. Big hop bomb, big grapefruit & citrusy hops, caramel malt backbone. Big bitterness, quite boozy but solid flavor

"Simtra may have some conpetition as KD’s best beer, and that is saying something. Big. pungent aroma of hop oils...citrus and tropical fruit and a whole lot of cat peed on my christmas tree. not quite the enamel eater in the mouth as the nose would have you believe, but almost. fantastic hop head’s delight."

22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours a slightly hazy orange/dark golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big earthy, herbal hops, moderate plus bitterness, caramel, toasted malts, good drinkability for 11.1%, I am always impressed by the Knee Deep hoppy beers.
