Bottle from Whole Foods SoMa, San Francisco
Hazy golden color with medium sized head. Nice malty aroma of malts, a bit biscuity. Lean body, moderate sweetness, nice malt job, before an exaggerated hopping comes in, with plenty of oranges, some mango, very fruity, and resiny.
Excellent.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, honey, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible big imperial IPA! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV. This was extremely well attenuated and dry for the ABV on malt sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering.

It is great for its kick, 11% goes down so easy. It is a slightly cloudy amber. There are nice floral hops on the nose. THere is a sticky hop front to the taste that fades to a bitter-sweet hop finish that stais the palate and fades slowly.

Appearance: Pours a clear deep bronze with a thin film of white.

Aroma: Obnoxious levels of dank. Tangerine, orange, grapefruit, sweet blonde sugary malt. A little alcohol.

Taste: Grapefruit and piny bitterness. Orange pith. Relatively dry malt profile. Delicious.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied mostest carbonation.

Overall: This was similar but different to Simtra. Not as dry or bitter as Simtra for sure. A wonderful hoppy sipper.

Dark gold and reeking of hops, this offering from Knee Deep is another great Triple. The bitter is nice, the balance nice, is very good at hiding its boozy nature. I am very excited to find yet another beer from Knee Deep that excites me as much as the rest of the line-up.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of resinous hops, tropical fruits and caramel malt. Flavour is a huge barrage of hops on the palate but it is exceptionally well-balanced - loads of tropical fruits, resinous hops and pine, balanced with sweet caramel malts. This sure is hoppy but it has a fantastic malt backing. Fantastic stuff, as with all Knee Deep hop assaults.

Bomber, couple of weeks old. Bright clear gold. Stunning juicy mango and tangerine aroma, light floral notes in there and just a hint of that big ABV. Taste gives mango, melon, tangerine and more pithy grapefruit. Some more perfumey notes get in there. Biscuit malt, impressively light presence letting hops sing. Booze well integrated, you can tell it's there but it isn't harsh. Pine needles come out towards the end, blending with the sweet tropical notes which linger. Amazing - my kind of hop forward beer.

@ Basunen 16-4-16: Stor trevlig doft av humle och stor ton av frukt som apelsin och ananas. Mycket trevlig. Riktig gott.

On tap at Beer Rev. It pours a semi clear light gold with a tall white head. The aroma is on point with intense citrus, sharp pine and spicy hops. A little mango. The flavor is super spicy hops with more fresh citrus and very mild honey. The finish is bitter and spicy. Strong alcohol, but the freshness and intensity of the hop character matches it well. I don’t usually go for these massive IIPA’s anymore, but this one was tasty.
