glennmastrange (2274) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - SEP 28, 2014
Bottle. Moderate grain for the malt, heavy pine and grapefruit for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with honey and dried apricot in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with slippery lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing.Color is light to medium clear amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a lively carbonation and a lightly astringent and alcoholic finish. Nice grapefruit hop punch from this DIPA.

Pours a clear light copper color With huge head. Aroma Is dank citrus hops with a dirty feet note and barnyard funk. Taste follows the aroma with some spice notes and a warming sensation all thru my body. This is a monster hop bomb aswel as a monster malt bomb. Awesome danky beer!!

Bottle. Clear gold pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring. Pretty dank aroma of pine, flowers, musty wood, hop resin, and oranges. Tastes pretty rough. Harsh hop resin, ultra dank, no sweetness, strong bitterness. Stinging pine needles and flowers. Medium body. Sorta boozy in the finish. Overall, nice aroma but needs to be smoother. Extreme hop lovers that want all dank hops and bitterness will love this.

tmoreau (2445) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a presentable layer of soft white head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was appropriately dank, with citrus up front, pine to the back, alcohol at the ready, but a light vegetal hint as celery that put me off just a bit. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste included a pronounced & lingering, rind-like bitterness, and alcohol to match. Potent & pretty tasty.

A nice drinking IIPA, no noted alcohols. Well balanced

Dark gold and reeking of hops, this offering from Knee Deep is another great Triple. The bitter is nice, the balance nice, is very good at hiding its boozy nature. I am very excited to find yet another beer from Knee Deep that excites me as much as the rest of the line-up.

drsordr (1085) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 17, 2014
Bottle pour clear dark gold with large white head. Nose huge tropical fruit, citrus, and resin. Taste grapefruit bite up front, then resin. Some citrus, then comes dank and bitter. Late palate heat from alcohol. As it warms, more mango and sweet malt appear, balancing the alcohol. Long bitter finish. Thick mouth feel.

Bomber to tulip. Pours a deep orange color with a small white head. Awesome grapefruit and pine aroma. Flavor is primarily malty with citrus and resin and a mildly bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Reminds me of Alpine Expo.

"Simtra may have some conpetition as KDís best beer, and that is saying something. Big. pungent aroma of hop oils...citrus and tropical fruit and a whole lot of cat peed on my christmas tree. not quite the enamel eater in the mouth as the nose would have you believe, but almost. fantastic hop headís delight."
